A sea of resplendent marchers decked out in green were on hand for the 12th annual, 2010 Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s Day parade. Despite a drizzle of rain, nothing could put a damper on the festive celebration on Sunday, March 14 on E. Tremont Avenue. Comment.

Power outages hit parts of borough after storm

A storm that Con Edison claims caused some of the worst power outages in decades left over 14,670 Bronx residents without power in different areas of the borough. Trees and utility poles collapsed or snapped under the force of winds blowing up to 60 miles per hour on Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14. Comment.
