Explore far-off places at the Bronx Zoo, using a special Zooport to chart your course to adventure on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 3 to 5 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cruise the Zoo and learn about wildlife and wild places, while enjoying a fun, healthy, outdoor family activity. Madagascar president visits Bronx Zoo Madagascar exhibit

Madagascar president Marc Ravalomanana enjoyed a unique opportunity to visit his homeland while he was attending the UN General Assembly in New York: On Sunday, September 21, the President toured Madagascar!, the Wildlife Conservation Society’s spectacular new exhibit that opened in June at the Bronx Zoo. The visit included glimpses of lemurs and fossas—fascinating mammals that occur only on that island nation. Comment.

The Jerome Gun Hill BID association held a street fair on Sunday September 27 on Jerome Avenue between Gun Hill Road and Mosholu Parkway North. Many of the businesses set up tables on the street in addition to sausage and pepper stands. Comment.
