Calvary Hospital recently launched the inaugural issue of its first e-newsletter, Calvary Life. This communication tool is designed to keep people updated on the latest hospital news and community partnerships. Calvary fundraiser held at Sonora

Sonora Restaurant hosted a fundraiser for Calvary Hospital with all of the proceeds going to Calvary Patient Care Programs. According to owner Ralph Russo, he ran the fundraiser because Calvary helps so many in the community. The event was held at 2107 Williamsbridge Road on Monday, November 10. Comment.

NYBG Holiday Train Show opens

On Saturday, November 21, the New York Botanical Garden opened its annual Holiday Train Show, which includes dozens of replicas of skyscrapers, museums, mansions, brownstones, bridges, ballparks, and other famous structures from around New York. Artist Paul Busse handcrafted all of the structures around the tracks from leaves, twigs, bark, berries, pods, pinecones, and other plant materials. Comment.

Guitarist and teacher Joshua McGuire will perform at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 2500 Westchester Avenue, on Sat., Dec. 5, at 3 pm.
