Around Town

Hi Readers! Welcome to another edition of Around Town.

The search was on this weekend to refill an over-the-counter product prescribed to me by my medical provider. Needless to say, this mission was not scheduled into my time allotted for personal chores on the weekend.

After inquiring at several major chain-store pharmacies, I was advised to try Total Care Pharmacy on Crosby Avenue. JACKPOT! Not only did they have this item (and came from behind the counter to get it for me), they immediately ordered additional supplies to keep on hand! This, of course, just proves the theory that it pays to shop locally (in our local mom and pop stores). Thanks, again for the fantastic service you provide to this community.

Filmmaker

Alberto Suarez is making a great name for himself as a film director, and is well on his way to becoming the Robert Rodriguez of the Bronx!  Congratulations on your feature film BX Thug Soldiers, a terrific story he produced and directed about the agony of the death of a soldier in Iraq steering his younger brother towards revenge on those responsible.   He is a force to be reckoned with and is heading right to the top!  All the best! Liz Tapia, founder and producer of JambalayaEvents.com.
