40th PCT.

TUES, April 15th, 10:50 p.m. – 615 Morris Ave. The staff at Lincoln Medical Center treated a 31-year-old black male. The man was suffering from a bullet wound to the head by an unknown culprit.

41st PCT.

WED, April 9th, 9:55 p.m. – 665 Dawson St. A male suspect was charged with a vicious attack on a 27-year-old female. The culprit is the father of the victim’s children officials indicated. The woman had been stabbed several times in the neck and torso areas. She was admitted to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition. 

THURS, April 10th, 3:50 p.m. – Faile St. and Aldus St. Officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad are assisting local detectives with the inquiry into the dead of a motorcyclist. The specially trained officers will corroborate evidence and assist in preparation of charges if required.

SUN, April 13th, 5:25 a.m. – Additional police officers were dispatched into an area outside of Hunts Point after a teen told officials that an older male sexually assaulted her. The supplementary officers were used to search the area for a black male about 26 years old as the young victim was treated at Lincoln Medical Center. 

42nd PCT.

WED, April 9th, 3:45 p.m. – East 167 St. and Webster Ave. A suspect was arrested after being found in possession of a weapon. Recovered and vouched was a 45-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

FRI, April 11th, 2:00 p.m. – 900 Tinton Ave. Officials at Adams High School locked the school down. Schools authorities were told that there was a gun on the school grounds. Responding officers arrested one culprit, but no weapon was found during a search.

SUN, April 13th, 5:40 a.m. – 1000 Trinity Ave. The driver of a vehicle that struck a teenage boy was arrested. The 17-year-old boy was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center in critical condition after being struck by the vehicle. Upon checking the driver, authorities indicated that the driver was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.  

MON, April 14th, 2:45 p.m. – 1665 Hoe Ave. Additional police officers were needed at the scene of a shooting. An 18-year-old black male had been shot in the leg once. The additional officers were needed to help conduct a search for the culprit.

43rd PCT.

SUN, April 13th, 4:05 p.m. – Barrett and Torry Aves. A lover’s dispute lead to the death of an 18 year old Hispanic female. In addition, a 29-year-old Hispanic male was also shot during the incident. A baby was found in the vehicle unharmed officials report. The female victim was traveling with the older man and their son. The man told investigators that they made a wrong turn off of the interstate highway and ended in the Castle Hill area. The male informed investigators that another male shot them. The bullet took the teenager’s life. As police continued to dig into the story, it started to unfold. It turned out that the incident was the ending of a lover’s dispute. The young woman told the man that she was leaving him taking the baby with her. The man set up the shooting with the assistance of a relative as the culprit. The woman was killed and another bullet was fired into the boyfriend, as they attempted to make the incident look like a robbery. Both males have been arrested.  

TUES, April 15th, 4:05 a.m. – 1251 Ward Ave. The driver of a cab was robbed at gunpoint. Another Latino male who was in his twenties robbed the 45-year-old Hispanic male. The younger man was fled with $120 dollars.

44th PCT.

WED, April 9th, 3:00 p.m. – 1065 University Ave. Another semi-automatic handgun was removed from the Highbridge streets. This time police recovered a 9-mm pistol.

SUN, April 13th, 3:50 a.m. – 1306 Jerome Ave. An unknown person according to officers investigating the incident stabbed an unidentified male. The victim was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where he was treated for the wound.

MON, April 14th, 11:05 p.m. – 1384 Grand Concourse. Authorities are looking for a Hispanic male in his late twenties. The unidentified culprit was wearing a ski mask to hide his identity when he robbed a local store. Using a hammer as a weapon the man demanded money from the victim and was given $4700 from the cash register.

TUES, April 15th, 12:25 a.m. – Clay Ave. and East 167 St. A 25 year old Hispanic male was arrested after police found him in possession of a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.  

45th PCT.

WED, April 9th, 11:30 a.m. – 1625 Benson Ave. Local police patrol officers recovered a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol in the Westchester Square area.

MON, April 14th, 11:05 p.m. – 100 Erdman Pl. Police are looking into a reported shooting that sent a 22-year-old male to Jacobi Medical Center. The black male victim was suffering from a bullet wound to the thigh. 

46th PCT.

THURS, April 10th, 4:25 p.m. – 1671 Macomb’s Rd. Authorities are looking into a shooting. An unidentified male was shot in the left arm and walked into Lincoln Medical Center seeking help. Medical officials alerted law enforcement officials to the incident.

THURS, April 10th, 5:20 p.m. – 1794 Sedgwick Ave. A dispute over money sent a male to Lincoln Medical Center fighting for his life. The victim had been stabbed once in the chest hospital officials confirmed. The attack occurred in the building’s lobby apparently with a neighbor over money.  

FRI, April 11th, 1:50 p.m. – 125 East 181 St. A teacher was arrested after officials received a report that a child had been bitten. The unidentified teacher was charged with biting the child on the shoulder.

MON, April 14th, 9:10 a.m. – University Ave. and West Tremont Ave. Members of the Bronx Task Force arrest of one suspect while vouching two handguns.

47th PCT.

FRI, April 11th, 12:10 a.m. – 3438 Fenton Ave. The death of a teenage boy is under review. The 16-year-old teenager’s body was discovered. Officials indicated that the teen might have taken his own life.

SAT, April 12th, 4:55 p.m. – 3940 Bronx Blvd. Authorities are looking into what caused an explosion. Apparently, a homemade bomb exploded without anyone being injured.

SAT, April 12th, 8:50 p.m. – Corsa Ave. and Hicks St. No one was injured after shots were heard. Police officers responding to the call checked the area but were unable to locate any victims. Detectives are looking into the incident.

MON, April 14th, 12:30 a.m. – 927 East 219 St. Another 9-mm semi-automatic pistol was removed from local streets with an arrest. The weapon was vouched pending a court appearance. 

TUES, April 15th, 6:15 a.m. – 974 Burke Ave. Electrical power to homes was lost after a live wire fell to the street. Over a half of the block was without power until Con Edison crews arrived and made the required repairs. Power was restored by 9:45 a.m.

48th PCT.

SUN, April 13th, 10:30 p.m. – 566 East 188 St. A search was conducted for two males. The two culprits at gunpoint robbed $1200 for the cash register of a store. One of the victims was injured during the incident.

MON, April 14th, 3:05 a.m. – 745 East 178 St. A 37 year old Hispanic male was admitted to St. Barnabas Hospital after being shot. The man was suffering a bullet wound to the back. An inquiry is already under way officials report. 

MON, April 14th, 11:05 a.m. – 2375 Southern Blvd. A 50-year-old man was seriously injured when he became trapped between an elevator doors. The man was severe injured medical officials indicated. Once rescued, he was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital.

49th PCT.

FRI, April 11th, 12:30 a.m. – Morris Park Ave. and Hone Ave. Authorities were alerted that three vehicles had been damaged. Apparently, an unknown person fired a gun damaging the three-parked vehicles. Local police officers checked area hospitals but were unable to locate any victims from the incident. Detectives have been assigned to conduct the inquiry.

SAT, April 12th, 11:05 p.m. – 1811 Williamsbridge Rd. An unknown amount of money was taken at gunpoint. The thief fled prior to police being alerted to the robbery. No injuries were reported.

SUN, April 13th, 6:15 a.m. – 3260 Boston Rd. Evidence was recovered at the scene by officials who responded to a report of shots being fired. The police officers found shell casing from the bullets that were fired. No one was injured, but property was damaged.

50th PCT.

SUN, April 13th, 5:45 p.m. – Broadway and West 251 St. Two persons were arrested after injuring three police officers during a vehicle stop. The three police officers received minor injuries according to officials at North Central Bronx Hospital who treated the officers and released them.

TUES, April 15th, 9:25 a.m. – 216 West 231 St. A traffic agent was accidentally injured after a motorist ran over the city workers foot. The officer was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital.

52nd PCT.

FRI, April 11th, 2:05 p.m. – 3536 Webster Ave. A 26-year-old black female was taken into custody by specially trained police officers. The woman apparently was throwing bottles out of a window at passing pedestrians. Police officers attempted to have her open the apartment door, but the woman refused. Emergency Service Squad officers were summoned to the location and were able to remove the woman without any difficulties. 

Transit

SUN, April 13th, 2:20 a.m. – East 174 St. and Southern Blvd.  Police officers from Transit District # 12 arrested a suspect who injured a father and his son. The 39-year-old Hispanic man and his 15-year-old son were attacked and stabbed. The two injured victims were transported to a local hospital.

Housing

THURS, April 10th, 10:00 a.m. – 3080 Park Ave. Two police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 were transported to Jacobi Medical Center. The officers were treated for injuries received while trying to arrest a black male for assaulting a family member.

SAT, April 12th, 8:50 p.m. – 1162 Washington Ave. Police officers from Housing’s PAS # 7 are working with Detectives from the 42nd Pct. Squad as they look into a shooting. A male had been shot in the lower leg. He appeared at St. Barnabas Hospital seeking treatment for the bullet wound causing police to be alerted to the incident.

Fire Log

WED, April 9th, 1:24 a.m. – 3010 Young Ave. A fire in the north Bronx went to two alarms just as another blaze broke out in the West Farms area. The first blaze was found inside a 2-½ story wooden building near Adee Ave. that had a peaked roof. Within four minutes, firefighters arrived on the scene and started to perform their extinguishments tasks. Two hoses were placed into operation as searches were being performed. Battalion 15 reported using All Hands at 1:32 a.m. and followed that report with the transmission of a second alarm some 7 minutes later as the fire spread throughout the building. Within the following minute, another serious fire would be reported. Firefighters made progress extinguishing the fire permitting the 7th Division to declare the fire under control at 2:12 a.m. One firefighter was injured during the blaze in addition to a civilian occupant.

WED, April 9th, 1:40 a.m. – 2115 Honeywell Ave. The first firefighting unit arrived within three minutes to a reported blaze in a five story high-occupied residential building. Battalion 19 reported at 1:49 a.m. that all companies at the scene were being used and specialized units were needed. As the fire continued to spread from two bedrooms into the cockloft area, a second alarm was sounded at 1:58 a.m., followed by a third alarm at 2:19 a.m. Bronx Fire Alarm Dispatchers had their hands full making sure that all communities in the Bronx were provided proper fire protection. Other fire units from Queens and Manhattan rushed to cover empty Bronx stations as the fire units attempted to contain the blaze that was traveling on the top floor and into the cockloft area of the apartment house. Searches were delayed because of the heavy smoke condition that the blaze generated. At 3:20 a.m., Deputy Assistant Chief Tobin declared the blaze under control. Units from the Emergency Medical Service treated five injured firefighters.
