Preston HS recognizes excellence

For its exemplary record of leadership, service, and activities that serve to improve the school and community, Preston High School has been awarded a 2008 National Gold Council of Excellence Award by the National Association of Student Councils. Close to 120 high schools were named to National Councils of Excellence, but Preston High School is one of only 98 high schools nationwide to receive the highly-esteemed honor of being named a National Gold Council of Excellence.

“Receiving an NASC National Gold Council of Excellence Award indicates a dedication on the part of the local school to providing a strong, well-rounded student council program,” says Rocco Marano, director of NASC.

Preston’s Student Council organizes numerous events and programs for the community and student body each year, including food and clothing drives, spirit activities, teacher/staff appreciation activities and many more.
