Msgr. Scanlan honors students for high achievement

Students from Monsignor Scanlan High School were  honored for their high academic achievement. Sr. Marie O’Donnell, principal, gave certificates to 14 students whose grades place them on the Principal’s List. To achieve this recognition, a student must achieve an average of 95% or higher. Those honored were seniors Emmelie DeLaCruz, Aman Eyasu, Michael Colon, and Brian Cabrera; juniors Marwcos Davila, Stephanie Huezo, Alexis Solorzano and Stephanie Grant; sophomores Carlos Perez and Joshua Lopez and freshmen Juanita Pacheco, Sik Wong Leah Rodriguez and Lisette Nunez.

Forty-six students were recognized for First Honors – those students with an average of 90% or higher. Sr. Marie gave certificates to seniors Terica Rice, Samantha Uruchima, Jonathan Vargas, William Peralta, Keon Hall and Erica Rodriguez; juniors Quinasia Jackson, Sarah Arguello, Yuliana Perez, Christian Velazquez, Rebecca Collazzo, Suemi Mendez, Rosa Perez, Michelle Conde, Elvin Fontana, Malcolm Brunson, Talisa Sosa, Desiree Darrisaw, Joanna Mendez, Rafael Rivera, Gena Soto, Tanisha Millan, Jelisha McIlwain and Michael Cruz; sophomores Isis Munoz, Luz Ozuna, Andrew Persaud, Amber Rhabb, Alisa Pena, Marciel Mulero, Dane Nelson, Ellem Delgado, Robel Moges and Ivelisse Velazquez; and freshmen Marabia Smith-Boone, JaVon Collins, Joseph Caccia, John Peralta, Emily Urresta, Amneet Singh, Courtney Stevenson Sims, Rosmailyn Lantigua, Chazz Casatelli, Mariel Santos, Anthony Persuad and Alyssa Andreani.
