40th PCT.

SUN, JUNE 15th, 8:00 p.m. – 225 East 134 St. Police are looking into a burglary where a commercial business was broken into. The thief chose an antique store as a target, but officials indicated taken were an assortment of power tools and a radio. The inquiry is on going. 

41st PCT.

THURS, JUNE 12th, 1:00 a.m. – Prospect Ave. Two suspects were taken into custody by authorities after an off duty police officer was assaulted during a dispute. The police officer was punched by one of the culprits. Additional police officers responded to help search for the culprits and their searches paid off with the arrest of the two culprits.

THURS, JUNE 12th, 2:10 p.m. – 1019 Garrison Ave. Authorities are looking into an incident that resulted with a 36-year-old Hispanic male being shot. When the Latino male arrived at Lincoln Medical Center he was treated for a bullet wound to the right leg. Detectives are looking into the matter.

42nd PCT.

SUN, JUNE 15th, 2:55 a.m. – A 28 year old male was stabbed by an unknown culprit. The man was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where the staff treated the wound to the lower left back. Detectives were alerted to the incident and are conducting a follow-up inquiry.

SUN, JUNE 15th, 9:30 p.m. – 839 Freeman St. A dispute between two neighbors turned nasty. One of the neighbors came out to chase the other neighbor from sitting on their steps. A dispute occurred, one was armed with a knife. The victim received a cut on the thigh, but was also stabbed in the arm. The staff at St. Barnabas Hospital reported that the victim was in stable condition as authorities arrested the attacker. 

43rd PCT.

WED, JUNE 11th, 2:00 a.m. – 2245 Randall Ave. A 25-year-old Hispanic woman was admitted to a local hospital. The woman was suffering from bullet wounds to the abdomen and also the buttocks areas. Police were looking for anyone who could provide them with information about the shooting.

THURS, JUNE 12th, 8:45 p.m. – 2264 Ellis Ave. Police investigators are looking into a shooting. A 23-year-old male was shot once in the shoulder. He was reported in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center as local detectives look into the shooting. 

44th PCT.

WED, JUNE 11th, 2:20 a.m. – 1343 Merriam Ave. Despite effects to help a four-month-old baby, the infant succumbed. The unconscious infant was transported to Bronx Lebanon Hospital where the baby was pronounced dead upon arrival. The incident was deemed not suspicious by officials.  

WED, JUNE 11th, 11:00 p.m. – East 174 St. and Monroe Ave. A police helicopter came to assist police officers on the ground after two persons had been shot. One male was suffering from a bullet wound to the leg while the second person was treated for a graze wound to the leg besides a bullet wound to the shoulder. Detectives are conducting the inquiry.

FRI, JUNE 13th, 5:20 p.m. – 1115 Grant Ave. The death of a 58-year-old man is under view by members of the local detectives squad. The man had been stabbed several times by an unknown person. Police investigators are hoping that witnesses will come forward with information about the incident which would greatly assist them.

FRI, JUNE 13th, 9:50 p.m. – Woodycrest Ave. and West 162 St. A 46 year old Hispanic man was stabbed by an unknown culprit. The injured man was transported to Lincoln Medical Center for treatment as police started a inquire into the incident.

MON, JUNE 16th, 7:50 p.m. – 239 East 165 St. A search is underway for a 30 year old male. The Hispanic culprit is wanted for breaking into a jukebox inside a restaurant. While inside the eatery, the culprit got into a fight with an employee, the two men wrestled. But the fight is halted when the perpetrator pulls out a handgun. The thief fled on a bicycle with the money taken from the jukebox

45th PCT.

WED, JUNE 11th, 2:55 p.m. – Hart Island. The body of a black male was fished from the waters of Long Island Sound by authorities. Detectives have now been given the task to identify the male victim.

WED, JUNE 11th, 10:15 p.m. – 140 Benchley Pl. Emergency units responded to Co-op City after scaffolding fell. High winds caused the construction equipment to fall damaging nearby vehicles. 

FRI, JUNE 13th, 10:10 p.m. – 150 Drieser Loop. An 18-year-old male required help after being stabbed. The teenager had two wounds to the back according to officials. A search of the Co-op City area was conducted by local police officers.

SAT, JUNE 14th, 3:05 p.m. – Orchard Beach. They came on land, on water, and from in the air, emergency units, all merging on the beach after a report was received that a man was missing in the waters. Land units started to spread out searching for the victim, harbor vessels from both fire and police departments sweep the waters, as a helicopter started to search the surrounding water area. The search went on, no one was giving up. There was a report that the man was last seen two hours before, but that did not stop the first responders from looking for the man. The 65 year old Hispanic man was finally safely located at 3:30 p.m. by members of the Fire Dept’s Marine 4. Afterwards, after gathering all their equipment, the searchers returned to their normal duties waiting their next call.

46th PCT.

THURS, JUNE 12th, 1:30 a.m. – Mt. Eden Ave. and Grand Concourse. Police responded to Bronx Lebanon Hospital to assist a robbery victim. A male appeared at the hospital seeking help for a laceration to the face. The male victim told officials that he was robbed at gunpoint of fifty dollars and jewelry by an unidentified male.

FRI, JUNE 13th, 1:40 a.m. – 1791 Walton Ave. The staff at Bronx Lebanon Hospital treated a 39-year-old man. The man had been shot in the left arm by an unknown person. An inquiry is underway by local detectives.

SAT, JUNE 14th, 7:00 p.m. – 1964 Grand Concourse. Police investigators are looking into a commercial robbery. It was not readily known how much money was taken by the armed culprit who displayed a gun. No injuries were reported.

SAT, JUNE 14th, 10:10 p.m. – 108 East 179 St. A raid by police cut short a dog fight that lead to the arrest of eight culprits. Authorities removed 16 dogs, all being Pit-bulls, to the ASPCA.   

47th PCT.

WED, JUNE 11th, 1:40 a.m. – East 241 St. and Seton Ave. Police launched an investigation into a report that a man had been shot at. The victim was driving by the intersection when he heard a shot being fired. After driving home he realized that there was a hole in the rear window of his vehicle from the bullet. Police were summoned and upon checking, three shell casings were recovered by authorities. 

WED, JUNE 11th, 9:10 p.m. – 4250 Van Cortland Park. Con Edison crews were needed in the Woodlawn section. A power outage effected a block area according to officials. None of the residents were on life support equipment officials reported. Representatives from the Fire Department, Police Department, and Con Edison were on the scene. Power was restored at 11:00 p.m.  

FRI, JUNE 13th, 2:00 a.m. – East 211 St. and Barnes Ave. A 52-year-old male was placed inside a jail pending a court appearance. The man was arrested by undercover police officers that found him in possession of a 22-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

SAT, JUNE 14th, 3:00 a.m. – White Plains Rd. and East 227 St. A suspect was arrested as under cover police officers recovered another gun. This time a 22-caliber pistol was taken off of Bronx streets by members of the Bronx Anti-Crime Unit.

SAT, JUNE 14th, 1:05 p.m. – Holland Ave. and East 213 St. A 25 year old man underwent surgery after being shot. The medical staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated the man for a bullet wound of the neck area. Two arrest were made besides a weapon being recovered.

SUN, JUNE 15th, 1:15 a.m. – Barnes Ave. and Cranford Ave. A teenager was transported to Jacobi Medical Center after being struck by a bullet. The medical staff confirmed that the 16-year-old boy was grazed in the left leg by the bullet.

SUN, JUNE 15th, 12:40 p.m. – 811 East 225 St. Authorities are looking into an apparent accident. A two-year-old girl was rushed to Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center. The young child had come in contact with an open bottle of drano. She rubbed it on her face as her mother was in another part of their home.

48th PCT.

THURS, JUNE 12th, 9:00 p.m. – East 175 St. and Crotona Ave. A search was conducted for a 19-year-old Hispanic male. The young culprit assaulted a 28-year-old Latino man.

THURS, JUNE 12th, 11:25 p.m. – 526 East 183 St. An unidentified male culprit robbed a neighborhood store. At gunpoint the thief made off with an undetermined amount of money. No injuries were reported.

SAT, JUNE 14th, 3:50 a.m. – A 17 year old Hispanic male was arrested after authorities investigated a report that a younger girl was sexually abused. The 9-year-old victim received medical care at St. Barnabas Hospital. Detectives from the Special Victims Squad are assisting with the inquiry. 

MON, JUNE 16th, 11:20 p.m. – 820 East 180 St. Authorities are looking into a shooting that sent a 24-year-old black to St. Barnabas Hospital. The young man was treated for a bullet wound to the right shoulder. Detectives are investigating the incident.

49th PCT.

WED, JUNE 11th, 9:10 p.m. – 640 Adee Ave. A man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in an emotionally distress state after having a family fight and a standoff with the police. The unidentified man had an argument with his wife. He then decided to barricade himself in the home. Responding Emergency Service Squad Police Officers engaged the man in a conversation for a while before he would surrender to them. Once in police custody he was transported to Jacobi Medical Center for medical help. 

THURS, JUNE 12th, 1:20 a.m. – 820 Astor Ave. Authorities are looking into an incident where shots had been fired. No one was reported injured.

SUN, JUNE 15th, 10:50 p.m. – 2181 Barnes Ave. Police investigators are looking into a homicide. A black male was shot in the chest. He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he expired officials indicated. Investigators recovered evidence at the scene.

50th PCT.

WED, JUNE 11th, 2:55 p.m. – West 227 St. and Marble Hill Ave. Emergency units responded to the quite intersection after a school bus was involved in an accident. One child was suffering from a minor neck injury and was transported to Montifiore Hospital to be examined.

WED, JUNE 11th, 9:55 p.m. – Fieldstone Ave. A four-block area along Fieldstone Ave in the Riverdale section from West 256 St to West 260 St went without electricity. Over one thousand people were effected by the outage until Con Edison crews made the necessary repairs. 

WED, JUNE 11th, 10:25 p.m. – A suspect was arrested after authorities learned that a female had been robbed and sodomized.

Housing

SAT, JUNE 14th, 1:45 a.m. – 1132 East 229 St. Two persons who were shot were treated at Jacobi Medical Center. An 18-year-old Hispanic male was suffering from a bullet wound to his left hand and an 20-year-old Latino male had a head wound. Police officers from Housing’s PSA #8 are working with detectives from the 47th Pct. Squad on this inquiry.

SAT, JUNE 14th, 3:30 a.m. – 180 Brook Ave. Another gun was recovered by local police officers. This time a Housing PSA # 7 officer nabbed the culprit who was in possession of a 40-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

Transit

WED, JUNE 11th, 10:10 p.m. – East 161 St. and River Ave. Service was interrupted on the IRT number four line for nearly 90 minutes. A tree fell onto the tracks near Yankee Stadium. No injuries were reported and service resumed around 11:30 p.m.

Fire Log

WED, JUNE 11th, 2:19 p.m. – 1485 Macomb’s Rd. A 76-year-old man was rushed to Harlem Medical Center after being burned in a residential fire. The elderly man was injured in a flash fire that occurred in a 5th floor apartment. Fire units arriving on the scene, Engine 42, and 92 with Ladders 44 and 49 quickly extinguished the fire and cared for the injured man. The injury occurred when the kitchen stove back flashed.
