Lyons capture medals

Most of the New York Lyons Mane runners on June 7, at Yale University qualified for the Amateur Athletic Union regional championship meet to be held June 27-29. 

Highlights include both Johnathan Huggins and Lauren Lyons winning the 100m, 200m, and long jump competitions in their respective divisions.

Tyron Ingram a sub-midget boy won the long jump, the 100m and finished second in the 200m run. 

Briel Biggs a midget girl won the 400m run, finished second in the long jump and placed fourth in her 200m dash.  Her twin sister Brittany finished fifth in her 800m run. 

Kadreya Simeon the youngest to attend the meet, a seven-year-old primary girl won her long jump competition and finished second in the 400m run and fourth in the 200m run. 

Cache Strother, a sub-midget competitor, finished second in her first ever shot put competition. 

Justin Nesbitt a sub-youth boy placed third in both the 400m run and the long jump. 

Kaelin Brooks a bantam girl and new runner placed third in the long jump.
