40th PCT.

TUES, JUNE 17th, 6:55 p.m. – 261 Alexander Ave. Authorities are looking into the death of a two-year-old child. After being bolted by electricity the young child was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where the child expired in less than a hour after the incident occurred.

WED, JUNE 18th, 2:20 a.m. – 234 East 149 St. A man suffering from a bullet wound walked into Lincoln Medical Center seeking help. The male victim had a bullet wound to the left thigh according to officials.

WED, JUNE 18th, 4:20 p.m. – 352 Willis Ave. An alert officer removed a 38-caliber pistol from South Bronx streets. The officer arrested a 27-year-old Asian male who was in possession of the weapon.

WED, JUNE 18th, 10:50 p.m. – East 147 St. and Third Ave. The staff at Lincoln Medical Center treated a 20-year-old Hispanic man. The man was suffering from a stab wound to the back.

FRI, JUNE 20th, 11:20 a.m. – 715 Eagle Ave. Detectives were summoned to the building after the body of a Hispanic woman was discovered. Authorities found the woman in a bathroom after being stabbed numerous times. The sleuths will now conduct a homicide investigation hoping to locale the culprit.

SAT, JUNE 21st, 10:50 p.m. – East 138 St. and Third Ave. A community event turned troublesome for law enforcement officials. Large crowds were enjoying the event, but a person discharged a gun several times. No one was injured, but the culprit was arrested without the gun being recovered. Officials indicated that 30 others persons were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

SUN, JUNE 22nd, 9:00 p.m. – 380 East 143 St. a search was conducted for two males who robbed another Latino man of $25 in cash. During the incident, the two culprits indicated to their victim that they were police officers. Now the real detectives are looking into the incident.

41st PCT.

WED, JUNE 18th, 3:59 p.m. – 1017 Leggett Ave. A 7-year-old Hispanic male ran into a police car. The young boy ran into the street striking the passing vehicle. The child was taken to Lincoln Medical Center suffering from a knee injury.

THURS, JUNE 19th, 1:50 a.m. – Prospect Ave. and St. John’s Ave. Authorities are looking into the untimely death of a 26 year old man. The black male was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center where he expired under suspicious terms.

SAT, JUNE 21st, 3:10 p.m. – 852 Hewitt Ave. A suspect was arrested in connection with the shooting of a woman. The female victim was treated at Lincoln Medical Center for a bullet wound to the arm officials report. Police investigators assigned to the incident after gathering information about the shooting arrested the culprit.

SAT, JUNE 21st, 10:55 p.m. – Prospect Ave. and East 149 St. Authorities are looking for the three occupants of a silver colored Honda Accord. The Hispanic trio attacked an off duty corrections officer fleeing with the officer’s pistol. During the struggle a bullet was discharged from the gun without anyone being injured. An inquiry is underway.

TUES, JUNE 24th, 2:20 a.m. – East 163 St. and Prospect Ave. A 21-year-old male was transported to Lincoln Medical Center. The young man had been shot twice. The hospital staff treated the victim for wounds to the wrist and buttocks. Detectives are looking into this incident.

TUES, JUNE 24th, 6:15 a.m. – 848 Hunts Point Ave. Seven hundred dollars was taken during a robbery of a local store. A black male at gunpoint displayed the weapon to the store clerk. Once receiving the money, the culprit fled.

42nd PCT.

FRI, JUNE 20th, 11:58 p.m. – 1068 Brook Ave. Authorities are looking into a commercial burglary. Apparently the entry was made from the roof according to investigators. Police are hoping that a nearby video camera might have caught images of the culprits. 

SUN, JUNE 22nd, 1:45 a.m. – Prospect Ave. and East 168 St. Police have arrested three suspect in connection with a shooting. Two females who had been shot received medical assistance at Lincoln Medical Center.

SUN, JUNE 22nd, 2:15 a.m. – 538 Claremont Pkwy. A stabbing claimed the life of its victim despite effects to assist the male victim by the staff at St. Barnabas Hospital. But despite their effects, the man expired at 2:50 a.m. Now detectives are conducting a homicide inquiry.  

43rd PCT.

SAT, JUNE 21st, 12:30 a.m. – White Plains Rd. and Story Ave. Two Hispanic teens were attacked and stabbed. The victims, ages 14 and 17 years old, were transported to Jacobi Medical Center as other police officers checked the area looking for the culprits, who apparently escaped. Currently, this incident is in the hands of local detectives who will conduct a follow-up inquiry.

SAT, JUNE 21st, 2:10 a.m. – Archer St. and Beach Ave. An 18-year-old black teen was shot in the left leg officials report. The teen arrived at Westchester Square Hospital on his own seeking medical help. Authorities were notified and an inquiry was launched.    

MON, JUNE 23rd, 12:55 a.m. – 1171 Morrison Ave. Authorities are looking into the death of a 52-year-old male. The unidentified body was discovered and officials indicated that the death did not look suspicious. Detectives are busy trying to learn the man’s identity.

TUES, JUNE 24th, 11:30 p.m. – Taylor Ave. and Cross Bronx Expwy. The emergency room staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated a 35-year-old black male. The man had been shot in the face under the right eye. He was reported in critical condition. Detectives from the local squad are looking into the incident.

44th PCT.

THURS, JUNE 19th, 6:55 p.m. – 1080 Anderson Ave. A 43-year-old black male was nabbed in the Highbridge section. The man illegally was in possession of a 22-caliber pistol.

TUES, JUNE 24th, 2:05 p.m. – 1201 University Ave. A 19-year-old Hispanic male was shot in the upper thigh. The teen was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where he was reported in stable condition.

TUES, JUNE 24th, 7:20 p.m. – 1304 Merriam Ave. A 21-year-old male was treated at Lincoln Medical Center after being shot. The male victim was suffering from a bullet wound to the right thigh. He was reported to be in stable condition.

45th PCT.

SAT, JUNE 21st, 9:00 p.m. – 386 Huntington Ave. A police officer required medical attention after struggling with three culprits. The officer used mace to try to gain control of the three individuals. During the struggle the mace effected the officer besides receiving an injury to the hand. The officer was taken to Jacobi Medical Center for assistance.

46th PCT.

SUN, JUNE 22nd, 4:35 a.m. – 223 East 179 St. A black male was shot once in the right thigh according to officials. The man was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was provided with medical care for the bullet wound. Detectives have been assigned to the case and are conducting a follow-up inquiry.

SUN, JUNE 22nd, 5:30 a.m. – 1710 Andrews Ave. Authorities are looking for the three males who at gunpoint invaded a home. The armed men tied up a Hispanic male occupant as they ransacked the apartment. The trio apparently left the home empty handed not finding what they came looking for.   

SUN, JUNE 22nd, 6:45 p.m. – 2051 Webster Ave. A search was conducted for victims after a bullet ripped into a restaurant. Officials indicated that no one was injured after a check was made of local hospitals. However, police officers at the scene recovered evidence that might help link the culprit to this incident.

MON, JUNE 23rd, 1:50 a.m. – 2192 Morris Ave. A male trying to elude police officer jumped from the roof of a building. After a vehicle stop, the driver fled into a building and ran to the roof. With police officers closing in on him, the unidentified male jumped. He ended up in St. Barnabas Hospital with multiple injuries.

47th PCT.

FRI, JUNE 20th, 3:25 a.m. – Hill Ave. and East 242 St. A black male was arrested by an under cover police officer. The culprit was nabbed in possession of a 380-caliber pistol.

TUES, JUNE 24th, 1:00 p.m. – Authorities have arrested a male suspect in connection with a sexual attack upon a woman. The male culprit was charged with raping a 30-year-old woman. The case now will be in the hands of detectives who will prepare it for trail.

48th PCT.

TUES, JUNE 17th, 9:05 p.m. – 2071 Vyse Ave. Police officers working the West Farms area arrested a suspect who was in possession of a gun. Recovered was a 9-mm pistol.

FRI, JUNE 20th, 1:10 a.m. – 2239 Bathgate Ave. Police are looking for the culprit who attacked a 20-year-old male. An unknown culprit stabbed the male victim in the left arm. The injured man was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital.

FRI, JUNE 20th, 6:20 p.m. – Park Ave. and East 174 St. A 28 year old Hispanic male was arrested after he was found with a 9-mm pistol. Arrested was Joe Rodriguez.

MON, JUNE 23rd, 10:35 p.m. – 2134 Hughes Ave. Authorities have questioned the relative of a deceased man. The victim was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. He died a short time late officials report as they arrested the victim’s cousin. 

49th PCT.

WED, JUNE 18th, 9:00 p.m. – 2759 Tenbroeck Ave. Detectives are looking into an incident where a 4-year-old child was injured. The young Hispanic boy was struck in the face by a “B-B” while playing in the backyard.

THURS, JUNE 19th, 6:15 p.m. – 2717 Holland Ave. An 18-year-old male was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon. Police recovered a 357-caliber pistol from the teenager. 

FRI, JUNE 20th, 5:50 a.m. – 2714 Barnes Ave. Police are looking into an incident where shots had been fired. Responding officers indicated that there were no injuries, but did find damaged property.

SAT, JUNE 21st, 5:15 a.m. – White Plains Rd. and Morris Park Ave. Detectives launched an inquiry after a male was shot twice. The injured man was transported to Jacobi Medical Center as police officials attempted to gather information about the shooting.

MON, JUNE 23rd, 2:30 p.m. – 2194 Barnes Ave. Some of the residents of a six-story apartment house were forced to find temporary living quarters. A crack was spotted in the building’s foundation causing city officials to order the partially evacuation of 13 apartments. Thirty residents were safely removed from the building with three families receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

52nd PCT.

WED, JUNE 18th, 5:05 a.m. – East Gun Hill Rd. and Bainbridge Ave. A male walked into Montifiore Hospital looking for medical assistance. The male victim had been shot in the left hand. Detectives are looking into the incident.

WED, JUNE 18th, 9:20 p.m. – 3509 Webster Ave. A search was conducted for a black male about 30 years old. The man entered the business location while displaying a handgun. The thief fled with a little more then two hundred dollars. Detectives are handling the inquiry.

THURS, JUNE 19th, 9:55 a.m. – Authorities are looking to talk to a Hispanic male who is about 50 years old. The man is wanted for sexually attacking a younger woman. The victim informed authorities that the man had raped her. Authorities took the woman to North Central Bronx Hospital for treatment. 

SAT, JUNE 21st, 3:45 a.m. – Webster Ave. and East Fordham Rd. A man walking into North Central Bronx Hospital seeking medical attention caused police to be summoned to the facility. The 45-year-old black male had been shot in the left leg at the busy intersection and found his own way to the hospital seeking help. An inquiry into the shooting is underway. 

Housing

TUES, JUNE 17th, 7:05 p.m. – 180 Brook Ave. Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 were dispatched to the scene of a shooting. Arriving officers found a 31-year-old man who had been shot once in the right arm. The victim was reported to be in stable condition. An inquiry is underway by members of the 40th Pct. Detective Squad.

Fire Log

SAT, JUNE 21st, 3:50 p.m. – 2089 Arthur Ave. A fire in the Belmont section saw the response of units under the command of Battalion 18. The fire was located on the 1st floor of a six-story apartment. Crews from the local fire stations were able to get water onto the rapid advancing flames as a second hose line was stretched to the basement area. Division 7 indicated at 3:56 p.m. that the fire had been darkened down. Within minutes the blaze was total extinguished.
