Fourth of July is here this week! Kids are finished with school and the vacation you’ve been planning for is just around the corner.
The Throggs neck Merchant Association wishes you, your family and friends a safe and happy holiday. The smell of barbeques is everywhere. Don’t forget as you get ready for your weekend cookout, our community stores have what you need to complete your celebration. Enjoy yourselves while having a safe 4th of July.
At our most recent meeting held on June 25 at the Harbour Inn, we had a terrific turnout with fantastic food. We thank the owners of the Harbour Inn for their hospitality. The meeting was very informative with a guest speaker from www.ParkingTicket.com, the company will help you fight your parking tickets at no cost to you unless they are able to lower your ticket or get it dismissed. We were also fortunate to have David Yassky, Councilman of Brooklyn who is running for NYC Comptroller. We hope to have Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr. at one of our future meetings.
Merchants and residents, just as a reminder, don’t forget to book your reservations to our 1st Annual Dinner Dance being held October 16 at the Villa Barone Manor. We are looking forward to having a great time celebrating out first year as a community association. We have recently revamped our website. Finally, some merchants of our area have come together to have a Home Owners Seminar. It will be held at Louis Seafood on Wednesday, July 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. Refreshments will be available while you listen and learn from lawyers, mortgage brokers, accountants, insurance brokers, realtors and NYS certified home inspectors. Any questions you have will be answered about your previous, current or future real estate deals. Reserve the date in your calendar.
