40th PCT.

WED, JULY 23rd, 5:00 p.m. – Alexander Ave. police station. A 42-year-old Hispanic man had additional charges added to his record. The man was arrested for criminal possession of a control substance. While in custody he officered a bribe to a police officer and was then charged with bribery. 

SAT, JULY 26th, 11:25 p.m. – Two teenagers were arrested by local officers after a gun was found in their possession. Recovered was a 45-caliber pistol.

MON, JULY 28th, 6:50 p.m. – 164 St. Ann’s Ave. Police searched a building in an attempt to nab the person responsible for shooting a male. The male victim received a bullet wound to the arm. Responding officers recovered evidence at the scene that might help investigators learn more about the weapon that was used. 

41st PCT.

WED, JULY 23rd, 3:10 p.m. – Prospect Ave. and East 165 St. A 58 year old black woman could be facing a year behind bars if she is found guilty of illegal possession of a gun. When arrested, the woman was nabbed along with a 380-caliber pistol.

SUN, JULY 27th, 4:10 p.m. – 958 Stebbins Ave. The mother of a 1-year-old baby girl was arrested as police looked into an incident involving the infant. The one year old fell from a second floor apartment window. The baby was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center where the young child was reported not to be injured by medical officials. As the inquiry continued, officials arrested the mother. 

MON, JULY 28th, 12:35 p.m. – 1042 Westchester Ave. Police are looking for a Hispanic male believed to be in his twenties. The man, this time, passed a note to a bank teller. Apparently the man fled from the bank empty handed. 

TUES, JULY 29th, 2:10 a.m. – 960 Tiffany St. Two suspects were arrested by police officers investigating a report that shots had been fired. No injuries were reported, but evidence was located by police officers that verified the origin report.

42nd PCT.

SAT, JULY 26th, 5:45 a.m. – Webster Ave. and Clay Ave. A 59-year-old black male was stabbed multiple times according to investigators. The man was admitted to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious condition as detectives were gathering information about the attack.

SAT, JULY 26th, 10:50 p.m. – 1696 Vyse Ave. The staff at St. Barnabas Hospital treated a 17-year-old Hispanic male. The teen had been shot in the hand. Detectives have been assigned to conduct an inquiry.  

TUES, JULY 29th, 9:05 a.m. – Boston Rd. and East 164 St. A woman was struck by a city sanitation truck according to officials. The woman apparently suffered a seizure while cross the street. The injured victim was admitted to Lincoln Medical Center apparently in stable condition.

TUES, JULY 29th, 9:30 p.m. – Washington Ave. Two police officers were injured while trying to assist in capturing a culprit. The officers responded to a call for assistance from another police officer. While in foot pursuit, one officer fractured an ankle, while the second officer suffered from a fracture finger. Both officers were treated at St. Barnabas Hospital.

43rd PCT.

THURS, JULY 24th, 7:30 p.m. – 1799 Westchester Ave. Authorities are looking into a robbery. The gunpoint incident occurred in a commercial premise. Police indicated that the culprit tied up employees. Taken were money and an unknown amount of cell phones.

SAT, JULY 26th, 3:30 a.m. – St. Lawrence Ave. and Westchester Ave. A 23-year-old black male was admitted to Jacobi Medical Center after he arrived at the facility seeking help. The man had been stabbed twice in the torso. 

SUN, JULY 27th, 3:55 a.m. – 1141 Elder Ave. Two injured teens were treated at St. Barnabas Hospital as authorities attempted to gather information about the occurrence. A 16-year-old black boy was stabbed while a 15 year old suffered from a grazed wound to the hand. Both were reported in stable condition. 

TUES, JULY 29th, 11:50 a.m. – 456 Commonwealth Ave. Local investigators are waiting for the results of an autopsy before they launch an inquiry. A body of man was found in the building’s basement apartment. The Medical Examiner responded to the scene, and after a quick examination, the expect determined that an autopsy needed to be performed so that it could rule out any foul play.

44th PCT.

THURS, JULY 24th, 5:35 p.m. – Concourse Village and East 153 St. A 29 year old Hispanic man was arrested and taken off the street after authorities found him with a handgun. Recovered by local police officers was a 45-caliber pistol. 

FRI, JULY 25th, 11:55 p.m. – 1040 Gerard Ave. A 37-year-old man was admitted to Lincoln Medical Center in serious condition after being stabbed twice in the chest area. Responding police officers arrested a suspect, as detectives started conducting an inquiry.

SAT, JULY 26th, 12:10 a.m. – 141 East 149 St. An arrest was made by police officials looking into an extremely serious assault. The unidentified culprit punched a 48-year-old black male in the face and his head struck the floor. The victim was admitted to Lincoln Medical Center in critical condition. 

SAT, JULY 26th, 10:15 p.m. – 1093 Jerome Ave. Authorities looking into an attack on an 18-year-old male arrested four suspects. The teen victim had been stabbed in the shoulder. Afterwards, he was treated at Lincoln Medical Center

SUN, JULY 27th, 3:10 p.m. – Grand Concourse and Mt. Eden Ave. A male was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital after being shot. Responding police officers searched the area looking for evidence and possible witnesses to the incident.

MON, JULY 28th, 3:00 a.m. – Major Deegan Expwy. Officers from the Accident Investigation Squad of Highway 1 were summoned to the busy interstate roadway in the area of Yankee Stadium. A vehicle struck a pedestrian as they were walking along the roadway. The accident claimed the walker’s life. Now, an inquiry is underway.

MON, JULY 28th, 10:10 a.m. – Highbridge. A suspect was arrested after a 12-year-old girl indicated that a family friend had sexually attacked her. The male culprit was charged with rape.

MON, JULY 28th, 2:45 p.m. – Sheridan Ave. and East 170 St. An undercover police officer nabbed a suspect who was in possession of an illegal gun. Taken off the streets was a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.

TUES, JULY 29th, 12:15 a.m. – 1155 Gerard Ave. An inquiry was started once officers learned that a male had been shot. The victim received a wound to the forearm area. He was treated at Lincoln Medical Center.

45th PCT.

WED, JULY 23rd, 5:05 a.m. – Cross Bronx Expwy. and Randall Ave. A serious accident on the busy highway tied up the morning rush hour. A tractor-trailer collided with another vehicle claiming one life and injuring four other persons. Emergency units rushed to the scene in the Throggs Neck community. Those injured were transported to Jacobi Medical Center as officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad started their inquiry.

46th PCT.

SAT, JULY 26th, 10:25 p.m. – University Ave. and West Tremont Ave. A 32-year-old black male was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital. The man was suffering from a bullet wound in the back according to investigators.

SAT, JULY 26th, 11:05 p.m. – East Tremont Ave. and Jerome Ave. Officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad were called to the busy intersection. A vehicle had struck a 46-year-old black woman. The driver fled the accident scene. The female victim was admitted to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. 

SUN, JULY 27th, 5:20 a.m. – Sedgwick Ave. and West Tremont Ave. Four other persons including a woman attacked a Hispanic male officials report. The injured man with a severe head injury was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital as authorities arrested the four culprits.

47th PCT.

WED, JULY 23rd, 12:15 a.m. – 756 East 232 St. A man with a long criminal record seek medical attention after walking into a local medical facility. Suffering from two bullet wounds, one to the right leg and the second one to the neck, the male victim was stabilized by the emergency room staff at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center on East 233 St. before being transferred to Jacobi Medical Center. Detectives are looking into the incident.

WED, JULY 23rd, 4:15 a.m. – Mundy Lane and East 241 St. A 26 year old black male was arrested in the Wakefield community. The culprit was nabbed while in possession of a 380-caliber pistol.

WED, JULY 23rd, 11:30 p.m. – 4781 White Plains Rd. A search was conducted for a black male that robbed a local grocery store in the Wakefield section. At gunpoint, over four thousand dollars was removed from the store by the thief. A search of the area indicated that the culprit escaped.

THURS, JULY 24th, 6:55 a.m. – 1185 East 223 St. Armed with a search warrant, police recovered a live explosive. Officers from the Emergency Service Squad and Bomb Squad experts were on the scene and went to work safely removing the dangerous device. Officials arrested two culprits as the inquiry continues.

SAT, JULY 26th, 3:10 a.m. – 3039 Wallace Ave. Police are looking into an incident where three males had been stabbed. The trio were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, as police started to gather information about the occurrence.

SAT, JULY 26th, 5:10 a.m. – White Plains Rd. and East Gun Hill Rd. Authorities are investigating an incident where a 29-year-old black male was shot. The male victim walked into Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center seeking assistance for the bullet wound. The wound was to the man’s foot.

SAT, JULY 26th, 10:40 p.m. – 4026 Laconia Ave. – The staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated a 26-year-old black male. The man was suffering from a bullet wound to the head. Detectives are looking for the culprit.

SUN, JULY 27th, 3:45 p.m. – 1159 East 229 St. Responding police officers recovered evidencing that indicated that shots had been fired. Officials indicated that there was no injuries reported, however, detectives are looking into the incident. 

MON, JULY 28th, 12:50 p.m. – 1138 East 229 Dr. South. The staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated a Hispanic male. The Latino male had been shot three times according to authorities. The victim was admitted to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition. 

48th PCT.

THURS, JULY 24th, 11:35 a.m. – 526 East 183 St. A weapon was recovered at the scene of an attack upon a 37 year old man. The Hispanic man was stabbed multiple times in the right arm, back, and chest areas according to officials at St. Barnabas Hospital. Authorities arrested a suspect and recovered a knife.

FRI, JULY 25th, 1:15 p.m. – 601 East Tremont Ave. Additional police officers were deployed into the area after a bank was robbed. The culprit passed a note to one of the tellers demanding money. The thief was given $400 in cash and a dye pack. Investigators did recover some evidence, but the thief managed to escape.

SUN, JULY 27th, 4:00 a.m. – Morris Park Ave. and East Tremont Ave. An 18-year-old boy was admitted to St. Barnabas Hospital after being stabbed. The wound was to the stomach area officials indicated.

49th PCT.

SAT, JULY 26th, 7:20 a.m. – 2514 Hone Ave. Two persons were arrested after authorities de-fused an armed family dispute. Both parties, a mother and her son, were taken into custody as officials recovered the knife that was used during the skirmish. 

SAT, JULY 26th, 11:50 p.m. – 1833 Holland Ave. Two teens were found shot. The victims, both 18 year old were suffering from wounds to either the abdomen or shoulder. They were both taken to Jacobi Medical Center, as investigators were busy asking questions to possible witnesses.

50th PCT.

WED, JULY 23rd, 11:00 p.m. – Riverdale. A man took his own life by jumping in front of a moving Metro North commuter train along the Hudson River line.

FRI, JULY 25th, 11:10 p.m. – 3400 Fort Independence St. Additional police officers were needed after a man decided to have a standoff with local officers. Officers from the Emergency Service Squad were called to the scene since the man was armed with a knife. The Emergency Service Squad officers were able to gain control of the man who was removed from the building without any additional problems.
