The Ferry Point Civic Association will host its annual block party on Saturday, August 16, with a rain date of Sunday, August 17 on Rohr Place. Similar to last year, each family is asked to provide their own tables and chairs and their favorite dish to share. Last year we had an overwhelming turnout in all aspects and we are hopeful that this year will surpass last year’s.
Our annual block party is a community strengthening event where old and new residents come together to enjoy the festivities. Each year we welcome new neighbors and catch up with old ones. All residents and their families and friends are invited to this event. Remember that you are responsible for your guests.
This year’s block party will celebrate the memory of John Lesnick, Sr. who recently passed. John, Jr. has a special surprise planned for all to enjoy. This is one block party you don’t want to miss.
As always, we will have a booth set up to check in and renew your membership of $10. Remember with your membership you receive a chance at our door prize. We received our permit and the allotted time for the party is from noon to 9 p.m. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on this special day.
