The Van Nest Little League 12-year-olds (above) did it again, winning the District 22 Championship for the third year in a row before losing in the city championships to Staten Island.
However, the team is still celebrating. The Van Nest squad has won the district as 10, 11, and 12 year olds.
Chris Amarosa, the president of Van Nest Little League joined his Board of Directors in stating how “extremely proud” they are of the team.
“It is a big accomplishment to win the District Title three years in a row,” Amarosa added.
