Dan Zanes and Friends to perform new album

On Sunday, September 14, join Dan Zanes and Friends at The New York Botanical Garden for a performance of songs from their new album, ¡Nueva York! Two concerts are scheduled to be held at the Botanical Garden’s Daffodil Hill: one from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the other at from 2 to 4 p.m.

¡Nueva York! is Dan Zanes and Friends’ first Spanish language family album celebrating music from Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and more. It follows on the heels of their Grammy Award-winning CD Catch That Train. The group’s concerts aim to build bridges with songs that connect all people. Dan Zanes and Friends will be joined by artists who collaborated with them on ¡Nueva York!, including: The Villa-Lobos Brothers, La Bruja, La Cumbiamba eNeYé, Silvia Sierra, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Joaquin Maria Del Rosario, Isidro Chavez, Quintino Cinalli, and Bernardo Palombo.

Adults, seniors, students (non-NYBG Members): $30; NYBG member adults: $27, non-NYBG member children (2–12 years): $20; NYBG member children: $18; children under 2: free.

Ticket price includes admission to one performance and all garden venues. All-Garden or Grounds-Only Passes will not allow access to Daffodil Hill for the concert. On-site parking: $12 per vehicle.

The concert ticket will also allow visitors access to all events at The New York Botanical Garden on September 14, including the annual Fiesta de Flores celebration, commemorating the flowers and culture of Latin and South America. From salsa dance lessons by Tito Sandoval to festive face painting for kids, the event celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month.
