A property owner in Pelham Bay plans to add five floors and 12,730 square feet of prime office and retail space over an existing one-story building at 3221-29 Westchester Avenue, at Colonial Avenue. Construction on the building, which is a Joel Fishman and Associates project, is expected to be complete in fall 2009.
The building’s ground floor will consist of its current retail businesses, while the second floor will be used for general business purposes. The third and fourth floors will house professional offices. The fifth floor includes a 3,210 square foot terrace. Potential users for the suburban-style office building include medical, education, religious, and communication firms.
