Bronx seniors become computer savvy

It is never too late to learn as a group of senior citizens graduated from a basic computer literacy course at the State University of New York North Bronx Career Counseling & Outreach Center (NBCCOC), located in Wakefield on Laconia Avenue. Each student was comfortable in the state-of-the-art, fully equipped computer lab which featured a $10,000 smart board.

The class was aptly taught by Evelyn Poole, a renowned, skilled computer instructor. It was through her initiative that the seniors were invited to attend the computer course.

The most recent course was held for five consecutive days, August 11 through August 15. The graduates received their diplomas on Thursday, August 28 at the Recognition Ceremony and Luncheon sponsored by the school.
