Scanlan honors beloved Sr. Linda Bonasera

Monsignor Scanlan High School started off the month of October with a crusade against Breast Cancer. Campus Ministry and the Health and Wellness Club, joined together for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and raised money in memory of their late assistant principal, Sister Linda Bonasera, who passed away after a long struggle with breast cancer this past June. The school’s Campus Ministry, moderated by. Marianne Sheridan, sold pink ribbons labeled Breast Cancer Awareness, and purple ribbons, labeled In Memory of Sister Linda, throughout the school.

The Health and Wellness Club, moderated by Jennifer Tulipano, sold dress downs for Lee National Denim Day and raised $2,590.00 that was sent to the women’s cancer programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Scanlanites wore their jeans and ribbons with pride as they gathered together at the end of the school to pray together.
