Calvary Hospital hosts annual Trust, Estates Conference

On Tuesday, October 7, Calvary Hospital hosted its 5th Annual Trusts and Estates Conference at the Princeton Club in New York City. The event attracted more than 200 of New York’s most experienced trusts and estates attorneys. A panel focused on Ethics for Breakfast: “Who is Your Client?” — Ethical Considerations When Representing Multiple Parties in Estate Proceedings.

The conference featured presentations by John R. Morken, Esq., partner, Farrell Fritz, P.C. and Gary B. Freidman, Esq., partner, Greenfield Stein & Senior, LLP. A mock SCPA section 1404 examination followed, with four panelists:

• Frank Streng, Esq., partner, McCarthy Fingar LLP;

• Andrea Hyde, Esq., partner, Putney, Twombly, Hall & Hirson LLP;

• Arlene Harris, Esq., special counsel, Kaye Scholer; and

• Joseph M. Accetta, Esq., court attorney/referee, Westchester County Surrogate’s Court.

The conference was chaired by Michael M. Mariani, Esq., senior vice president, deputy general trust counsel, and director Trust and Estate Services, Fiduciary Trust Company International.
