MMCC teen programs in full swing

Liza Perez and Steven Rodriguez, director and assistant director of Teen Programs at the Boys & Girls Club of Mosholu Montefiore Community Center, announce that both the middle school (ages 12 ½ to 14 ¾) and senior high (ages 15-18) Teen Programs are in full swing for the program year.

The Middle School Program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays nights from 6:30 to 9 p.m. offering school help, sports, clubs, art, dance, acting, Keystone Club, leadership and hobby groups, followed by open gym for basketball and other organized sports, lounge and gameroom for pool, ping-pong, bumper pool, and table games.

Van service is available at 9 p.m. for $1 to the door (home) in Norwood, Van Courtlandt Village (Amalgamated) and Kingsbridge Heights.

On Saturday night, from 7 to 10 p.m., it’s open gym, game room, lounge, socials, theme nights, and fun.

The Senior High Program meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. featuring all types of classes, clubs, sports, recreation, cultural and performing arts classes, help with college entrance, and more. This is followed by Open Gym, theme nights, lounge, gamer oom, socials, special events and more.

Registration and interviews to join the program (bring school I.D. and proof of age) take place Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. and Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. For complete information call Liza Perez at (718) 882-4000, ext. 388.
