AFC Rapid Soccer highlights and top players for week 9

Another weekend has past and the ghouls and goblins have left Cintron Field bringing out the soccer players. The highlights are as follows:

International Caterers “out-served” the wait staff from Fiddlers Elbow, 5-0. Top performers for the Elbow were Rudi Etzel and Dante Romano.

The fleet sailed away from St Benedict’s Knights, as Throgs Neck Clipper defeated them, 4-0. Manning the bridge were Maris Rondon (2), Tomas Puleo (1) and Anthony Salgrado (1). On deck wer Justin Delvechio and Carlos Mercado. The swabbies were Mike Enright and David Teran.

Finest Auto Body continued their unbeaten season over Bronx City Recycling, 4-0. Jenny Waters had one goal and Sabrina D’Ancona the hat trick, with three assists from Mary Kate Connolly. Tough defense from Danielle Kibler and Marielisa Andolora pitched a shutout.

L D Management left “an impression on” Lasting Impressions, 3-1. The scoring was shared equally by Joey Mosiello, Jena Pelinkovic and Erim Pelinkovic. Carrying the offense were Krystal Raniez, Lisa Popovic and Ivana Vasquez. The defensive wall was supplied by Ciaran Flattery and Arturo Claudio.

Capital Shield thwarted Barino’s Market, in a tight one, 3-2. The leading shielders were Julia DiMarco (2) and Christina Santino (1). Outstanding offensive play from Nicholas Matranga, Jailyn Rodriguez, Sofia Enea and Rebecca Cerini. Awesome “D” from Luke Cunaj, Daysha Colon and goalie, Justin Diubaldo.

The honey was bitter-sweet at Frank Bees, as they tied C.I. Construction, 2-2. Top worker bee was Nicole Soares with both goals (scored in the last three minuets). Other pollen gatherers were Nick Leone, Emma Meaney,Erica Janney, Nikki Spinola and Meaghan McCormack. Protecting the hive were Chris Mercado, Briana Cicalo,Xarlo Fine and Frank Ramunno. The keeper with some great saves was Eric Dimarco.

Another tough one was played by Milea Auto Sales tied Teresa’s Ices, 0-0. The salespeople were Julia Haas, Owen Madogan, Demetrios Argyros and Demetrios Kiskinis. The maintenance department was manned by Stefan Stranzel, Angelica Civette and Thomas Knecht.

Silvestri Carpet got twisted by Dr Ken Gonoud, 3-1. The lone goal for Silvestri was scored by Jonathan Keeney. Other stellar showings from Mike Miskimmons and the Wimbush brothers, Matthew and Chris.

NCJA Income Tax gave Fusion Gitness a workout, 3-0. Top preparers were Keith Lancaster (2) and Eric Stein (1). Offensive office staff were Jonathon Cerini and Mohammed Arifov. Shredding the documents were Michael DiPreta, Michael Healy, Bryanna Sanabria and Lanaro Stefani.

Vito’s Deli continued their unbeaten season over Annunziata, Inc., 5-0. The Von Kessel brothers, Chris & Steve scored two each, while Steven Martinez had one. Feeding the frontline were Jessica Von Kessel, Britney Peters, Anthony Russo and Conor Hanli-Piri. The defense was held by Julia Maher, Julian Pilla, Patrick Baumgardner and Drew Cottam.

Porco Act played the Athletes from Edgewater to a 3-3 tie. The scoring for Edgewater was shared by Kyle Brandstetter, Allysa Hill and Brian Kimmel. The “O” came from Brandon Cruz, Rock Delfranco, Breanna Brown,Connor Ninavaggi and Tommy Marley. The “D” from Peter Shadwick, Caitlyn Brown,Amy Riker and Keeper, Aiden Kimmel. Angelina Sanababria had the hat trick for Porco. Other stellar performsnces from Anthony Cuomo, Xavier Sanchez, Jason Locicero, Mia Maria Aquino, Juliana iaccia Johan Severin.

Schuyler Hill F.H. “scared” Peek-a-Boo, 4-2. The sirectors were Joe O’Keefe (2), Luca Policchio (1) and Michael Martinez (1). Strong showungs from Leana Eugene, Angelo Ejili, and Majella Sheehan. Strong offensive [erformance from Oscar Uribe. “D” from Nick Puig, Steven Mazza and JC Maranerso.

This was a weekend of ties with 3rd Ave Plumbing tieing P Wynne, 3-3. The plumb ers were led by Amber Caputo (2), Kyle Williams, Joey Caputo and Frank Menonna. Top attornies Andres Soto (2) and Ibrahim Diallo. Dophin Fitness knotted Crosstown Diner, 0-0. Top performers for Crosstown were Nonis Nicodemis, Joseph Martino, Alanna Martino and Angenise Rosario. The top player for Dolphin was Matthew Orbetello with 7 saves in the net.
