Korony American Legion Post 253

Around the Post

(Since 1927)

The next meeting of the Theodore Korony Post 253 will be at the Turner Club, third Sunday, November 16, at 11 a.m. We hope everybody got to vote (at least once!) and helped someone in difficulty get to the polls. Every vote counts. There was a town official who won every year for many years. He didn’t vote one year and lost by one vote. Thanks to the elected officials for the pre-parade breakfast and thanks to our flag installers and buddies at 1456 for ensuring our main street was flag-lined for the parade. Remember the honorary grand marshals who are not with us this year. It’s why we march. Don’t forget the Post Toy Drive.

Around the Media

Cellphonesforsoldiers.com looks pretty good. If you have an old phone, donate to a good cause. Also, we have IAVA.org, the Iraq and Afghanistan vets home site and you can join for support, even if you weren’t in this current conflict.

Until Next Time

Where are we going? And why are we in this hand basket?
