THURS, NOV. 20th, 10:35 p.m. – 745 East 152 St. Authorities are looking into a shooting that left a male suffering from a bullet wound to the eye area. Additional police officers were dispatched into the area to help search for the culprit as the injured man was taken to a nearby hospital.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 12:05 p.m. – 647 Cauldwell Ave. Authorities learned that two males posing as police officers invaded a home. The two culprits were in possession of a police type badges and a gun. The criminal pair pushed their way into the victim’s home fleeing with six gold rings and three hundred dollars in cash.
MON, NOV. 24th, 9:30 p.m. – 527 East 138 St. Two males robbed a local business of over a thousand dollars. Taken in the robbery was $1,700 in cash by two males culprits whom were dressed in black and armed with a gun. No injuries were reported.
TUES, NOV. 25th, 8:20 a.m. – 528 Jackson Ave. Upon opening of a local business it was learned that a burglar had occurred. A Dollar Store was broken into apparently through the roof. The culprit fled with over five thousand dollars in cash taken from a safe besides the contents of a cash box. Detectives have been assigned to conduct a follow-up inquiry. A search at the scene was conducted for any evidence.
41st PCT.
FRI, NOV. 21st, 10:50 p.m. – 1052 Prospect Ave. With an arrest, another handgun was taken off of South Bronx streets. This time a 25-caliber pistol was recovered.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 10:30 p.m. – 1005 Intervale Ave. A Hispanic teenage male was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center after being shot several times. The 19 year old boy was suffering from bullet wounds to the arm and back. An investigation is underway by local sleuths. Officers from the Emergency Service Squad were summoned to the scene to help conduct an evidence search.

FRI, NOV. 21st, 1:15 p.m. – 1491 Vyse Ave. Officers from the Emergency Service Squad were summoned to the scene of a shooting. The specially trained officers were needed to help conduct a crime scene search after a bullet grazed a 15-year-old boy. The teen was treated at Saint Barnabas Hospital for a wound to the neck area.
43rd PCT.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 1:25 a.m. – 1836 Watson Ave. A suspect was arrested after a 25-year-old male was stabbed. The injured man was suffering from a stab wound to the chest when he arrived at Jacobi Medical Center. He apparently had an argument with his attacker, reported to been a female.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 2:25 a.m. – 1938 East Tremont Ave. Police are looking into a reported stabbing where a 33-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach and facial areas. He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in extremely critical condition. Detectives from the local squad are handling the inquiry.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 10:00 p.m. – 741 White Plains Rd. A suspect is heading to court after being found in possession of an illegal gun. Recovered by police was a 25-caliber pistol in the Sound View community.
44th PCT.
THURS, NOV. 20th, 1:45 p.m. – 1049 Grand Concourse. A two-year-old male expired at Lincoln Medical Center despite effects to help the young boy. Officials report that the infant had a previous known medical condition.
FRI, NOV. 21st, 3:00 p.m. – 1530 Sheridan Ave. Police arrested a person while recovering another illegal gun. This time a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol was taken so that it could be vouched as evidence during the court proceedings.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 8:50 p.m. – 247 East 172. A 9-mm semi-automatic pistol was taken off the street due to an arrest made by a patrol officer.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 9:20 p.m. – 1240 Walton Ave. Additional police officers were redeployed into the area after two males were shot. One of the victims was suffering a wound to the right leg while the other male was shot in the left leg. Detectives are looking into the incident.
SUN, NOV. 23rd, 6:30 a.m. – Major Deegan Expwy. and Exit # 6. Emergency units responded to a reported vehicle mishap. A 47-year-old male was struck and killed by a vehicle along the busy northbound lanes. Officers from Highway #1’s Accident Investigation Squad were summoned to the scene to help recover evident that will be used during the inquiry.
TUES, NOV. 25th, 2:00 a.m. – 155 East 168 St. Police were alerted that a 25-year-old man apparently took his own life. The body was discovered in the basement of the building as police found evidence indicating that it might have been a suicide.
TUES, NOV. 25th, 8:40 a.m. – 288 East 164 St. A suspect was arrested as police continue a search for two other culprits. The trio did force their way into a home as they displayed a handgun. The trio fled with a watch and eight hundred dollars in cash.
TUES, NOV. 25th, 1:45 p.m. – East 170 St. and Walton Ave. Authorities nabbed a 23-year-old Asia male who was in possession of an unregistered gun. The 23-year-old man could be facing a year in jail if convicted.
45th PCT.
WED, NOV. 19th, 12:30 p.m. – 2969 Otis Ave. An investigation is underway as officials look into a possible larceny. Officials at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church reported that property was missing. A search of the area was conducted, but none of the property was recovered. So now the inquiry is in the hands of local detectives.
FRI, NOV. 21st, 5:50 p.m. – 2986 Lawton Ave. An apparently family argument lead to the death of a woman. Police arrested the man after he apparently stabbed his wife several times, who expired at Jacobi Medical Center. The woman had wounds to the chest and head areas of the body.
SUN, NOV. 23rd, 5:15 p.m. – 1950 Mulford Ave. The death of a man is under review by detectives. Apparently the 63-year-old man might have taken his own life with a shotgun.
MON, NOV. 24th, 10:05 p.m. – 2465 Tratman Ave. A search was conducted for an armed culprit. The thief at gunpoint assaulted the victim by striking the unidentified victim on the head with the handgun. The staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated the injured person.
46th PCT.
WED, NOV. 19th, 3:00 p.m. – Morris Ave. and Jerome Ave. A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged with assaulting a traffic agent. The injured city worker was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital for an examination and medical care.
MON, NOV. 24th, 1:25 p.m. – 1770 Grand Concourse. Police emergency service squad units responded after an envelope arrived containing a white powder. Experts trying to determine if it was dangerous tested the powder. Anyone who came in contact with the envelope was carefully deconned before they were permitted to depart the area.
TUES, NOV. 25th, 8:00 p.m. – 1950 Andrews Ave. A 23-year-old man was arrested after police found him in possession of an illegal handgun. Vouched as evidence was a 357-caliber handgun.
47th PCT.
WED, NOV. 19th, 4:00 p.m. – 4111 Laconia Ave. A city worker was arrested after an inquiry was conducted. The worker was charged with harassment toward the victim.
THURS, NOV. 20th, 8:05 p.m. – 4054 Carpenter Ave. Local officers arrested a 27-year-old black male. Kenton Hernandez, 27, was arrested after he was found with a 25-caliber pistol.
THURS, NOV. 20th, 8:10 p.m. – 4349 Furman Ave. Police arrested a 24-year-old man. Taken into custody was Kelvin Gladden after he was found in possession with a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 9:15 a.m. – 723 Burke Ave. Responding police officers found a Hispanic woman handcuffed after a check-cashing store was robbed. The woman was also assaulted during the robbery. She was treated at Jacobi Medical Center as detectives looked for any clue that might help them identify the culprit.
48th PCT.
WED, NOV. 19th, 5:55 p.m. – 4465 Park Ave. Authorities arrested the culprit of a burglary, but also took the victim into custody. The victim was charged with grazing the culprit with a weapon. The investigators recovered a 38-caliber pistol.
THURS, NOV. 20th, 11:25 p.m. – East 180 St. and Clinton Ave. A 17-year-old male teen was arrested after he was found in possession of a 32-caliber defaced handgun.
49th PCT.
WED, NOV. 19th, 11:50 a.m. – 1306 East Gun Hill Rd. The staff at the Jacobi Medical Center’s emergency room treated a 28-year-old Hispanic male. The man was suffering from a bullet wound to the buttocks. Additional police officers were redeployed into the area after the shooting occurred.
THURS, NOV. 20th, 1:05 a.m. – 1953 Wallace Ave. A search was conducted for the unknown person who broke into the home of an 86-year-old woman. The elderly victim was robbed at gunpoint.
50th PCT.
WED, NOV. 19th, 4:40 p.m. – 475 West 246 St. Authorities are looking into the death of an elderly woman. A 74-year-old woman apparently took her own life with a gun officials reported. Detectives are waiting for the Medical Examiner’s report to see if the incident was a suicide.
52nd PCT.
WED, NOV. 19th, 12:20 p.m. – 2 East Kingsbridge Rd. A search was conducted for the culprit who attempted to rob a Dunkin Donuts store. The culprit passed a note to an employee, but no money was given to the would-be thief despite the fact that a gun was shown. The culprit fled empty handed.
FRI, NOV. 21st, 4:20 p.m. – 2665 Grand Concourse. A 14-year-old Hispanic teen was reported to be in serious condition after being attacked. The young teen was stabbed multiple times in the hands, back, and shoulder. He was admitted to St. Barnabas Hospital.
FRI, NOV. 21st, 8:15 p.m. – 328 East 198 St. Two more guns were removed from streets in the Bedford Park community after a man and a woman were arrested. Undercover police officers from the Bronx Gang unit nabbed a 25-year-old Hispanic woman and a 28-year-old black male after they were nabbed with 22-caliber and 25-caliber pistols.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 12:40 a.m. – 2780 Grand Concourse. A male was found suffering from a bullet wound to he stomach. The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious condition. Detectives are looking for the culprit.
SAT, NOV. 22nd, 1:05 a.m. – East Bedford Park Blvd. Authorities were informed that three males all dressed in black attacked a male victim. When found by emergency workers, the victim was suffering a stab wound to the back. He was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital. The incident is under review by local detectives.
SUN, NOV. 23rd, 12:30 a.m. – 2609 Briggs Ave. Authorities are looking into a shooting. A male was shot in his side requiring medical care. As additional police officers were redeployed into the area, the victim was being treated at Lincoln Medical Center. Detectives have been assigned to the inquiry.
SUN, NOV. 23rd, 9:35 a.m. – 2700 Marion Ave. Additional police officers were summoned into the area after the body of a male was discovered. The 45-year-old man was found with a bag over his head. The body was released to the medical examiner’s office so that an autopsy could be performed.
Fire Log
WED, NOV. 19th, 8:55 a.m. – 2062 Ryer Ave. One resident was injured during a one-alarm blaze in a private home. Battalion 19 units battled the blaze for over 40 minutes before Division 7 declared the fire under control. The injury was reported to be minor to a civilian. A firefighter was also injured and treated at the fire scene.
WED, NOV. 19th, 4:14 p.m. – 1105 Southern Blvd. It took the crews from over two-dozen fire units to contain and totally extinguish a fire in a row of seven stores including a pet shop. The inferno, which went to three alarms, is believed to have started in a dry cleaning store. Due to the chemicals stored in the store, fire department officials summoned the Haz-Mat unit to the scene. All firefighters were withdrawn from the structure, as the chief in charged ordered an exterior attack. Hose lines and tower ladders were set up and placed into operation as firemen retreated to the safety of the street. The fire was contained to seven stores. The second alarm was sounded at 4:22 p.m., followed by the third alarm at 4:50 p.m., but it was not placed under control until 7:28 p.m. Five firefighters and one civilian were treated by EMS crews for various injuries.
THURS, NOV. 20th, 4:10 a.m. – 953 East 223 St. A second alarm was sounded as firefighters raced to a three story dwelling. The fire was reported in the occupied residential building in the Wakefield section. Firefighters were on the scene within four minutes. Upon checking they found a heavy smoke condition in the structure as the flames spread to the roof area. Two hose lines were deployed and charged with water by the engine crews. Battalion 15 requested additional assistance before transmitting the second alarm at 4:41 a.m. By 5 a.m. the 7th Division declared the fire under control.
