Van Nest Community Association

Last Friday started off the holiday shopping season. The stores looked full with people just grabbing up those early or door busting sales and then staying for the regular bargains. The holidays are a time for family, friends and good times but remember every good time leaves a bill to be paid. When times get tight we all want to forget them with a good time but overspending on things that will definitely make you or your loved ones feel great is not the way. Check your funds and don’t overspend. Overspending, or worse overcharging, will only put you in a deep hole you may not be able to climb out of. This year be creative, spend the time to really know the person you’re giving the gift to and pick out the perfect one they would really love and doesn’t cost a fortune. I’m not preaching gloom and doom. I’m not saying not to buy anything, just think before you do. You might be surprised about how happy you made everyone and still have money to pay all of the regular bills.

On behalf of the Van Nest Community Association from all of us to all of you have a safe and happy holidays.
