FRI, FEB. 20th, 5:05 p.m. – 645 Westchester Ave. Three police officers were injured as law enforcement officers made several arrest as part of a drug investigation. Two police investigators assigned to the Narcotics Bureau were treated for a fracture foot besides a broken arm while the second officer also had a broken arm. A local police officer from the 40th Pct. was the third injured officer and was treated for a shortness of breath. Authorities recovered approximately $25,000 worth of crystal meth.
FRI, FEB. 20th, 6:25 p.m. – Morris Ave. and East 142 St. Undercover police officers removed another weapon from Bronx streets. This time in the Mott Haven section, officers from the Bronx Gang Unit removed a 38-caliber pistol.
41st PCT.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 7:30 a.m. – 941 Simpson St. The death of a 51-year-old man is under review. The body was discovered in a bedroom. Investigators indicated that there was trauma to the head. The body was released to the Medical Examiner’s office so that investigators can learn how the man died and if the death is suspicious.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 8:20 p.m. – 1090 Longwood Ave. Authorities are looking for the two males who broke into a freight train car. The two unidentified culprits made off with a load of beer. Local police are working with the railroad law enforcement section on this investigation.

THURS, FEB. 19th, 6:05 p.m. – Working on information police arrested a male culprit charging him with raping an unidentified female victim.
43rd PCT.
THURS, FEB. 19th, 12:40 p.m. – 1048 Elder Ave. Another handgun was taken off the Sound View community streets by local police officers. Officials arrested two culprits, which permitted them to vouched a 38-caliber pistol that was in their possession.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 9:50 a.m. – 1235 Morrison Ave. A nine-year-old Latino boy was found unconscious in his bed. The child was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where doctors indicated that he had expired within an hour despite effects to save him. The body was release to the Medical Examiner so that an autopsy could be performed.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 4:45 p.m. – 1145 Morrison Ave. A 17-year-old Hispanic girl was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center after attempting to take her own life. The teen apparently jumped from either the third floor or the building’s roof. She was transported to the hospital suffering from two broken legs and a fractured pelvis.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 6:05 p.m. – 1368 Metropolitan Ave. Emergency service units responded to assist a 4-year-old boy. Authorities indicated that the child was found in an unconscious state with what appeared to be several bruises on the body. Detectives were summoned, and unfortunately, the boy died. An inquiry is underway.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 8:10 p.m. – 741 White Plains Rd. A suspect was arrested as local police officers recovered a 45-caliber pistol in the Sound View area.
44th PCT.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 4:10 a.m. – 148 East 170 St. As many area residents, two culprits were busy breaking into a structure. Police were alerted to the burglary and responded to the targeted building. After conducting a search of the structure, two suspects were taken into custody.
SUN, FEB. 22nd, 6:55 a.m. – 1335 College Ave. The victim of a vicious attack ended up being arrested by authorities. A person using a baseball bat apparently attacked the victim. The unidentified person was suffering from a fracture skull at Lincoln Medical Center. Based on cross-complaints, the victim of the attack was also arrested in addition to the original attacker.
MON, FEB. 23rd, 7:00 p.m. – 1193 Walton Ave. A store fell victim to an armed robbery team. Two males wearing ski masks and displaying a gun took four hundred dollars from the store before fleeing. No injuries were reported.
MON, FEB. 23rd, 9:20 p.m. – 1225 Gerard Ave. Police were notified that three young persons had been shot. All three teenage victims were transported to Lincoln Medical Center where one of them, reported to be 15 years old, expired. The second victim was treated for a graze wound to the head while the third person had a bullet wound to the thigh area. Local detectives are looking into the shooting incident.
45th PCT.
WED, FEB. 18th, 5:30 a.m. – 2820 Middletown Rd. Authorities have indicated that a Laundromat was broken into, but the thieves fled apparently empty handed. Investigators called to the scene found locks that had been cut permitting entry into the business. Inside the store, locks were broken permitting the culprits to gain possession of the money that were inside the machines. But officials indicated that they did find an amount of quarters that were left at the scene.
WED, FEB. 18th, 8:25 p.m. – 268 Logan Ave. Authorities are looking into a shooting. A male victim was found suffering a bullet wound to the thigh. The injured party was transported to a local hospital as the inquiry continues.
MON, FEB. 23rd, 9:00 p.m. – 120 Casals Pl. The emergency room staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated a male who had been attacked in the Co-op City Community. The male was treated at the hospital after being slashed. Local sleuths will be handling the inquiry.
TUES, FEB. 24th, 10:45 a.m. – Authorities were alerted that a young teenage girl had been sexually assaulted. Specially trained detectives were notified about the incident since the victim was reported to be under 14 year old. The occurrence is under scrutiny by these investigators. The male culprit is reported to be a young teenage.

THURS, FEB. 19th, 8:25 p.m. – 1793 Jerome Ave. Police are looking for four males who committed a robbery. One of the culprits displayed a badge leaving the victim to think that he might have been a police officer. They fled the commercial premise with a purse, a wallet, and several credit cards.
SUN, FEB. 22nd, 2:00 a.m. – 20 Richman Plaza. A Manhattan police officer recovered an extremely powerful illegal weapon. Recovered and vouched by police was a foreign made AK-47 automatic weapon.
47th PCT.
WED, FEB. 18th, 4:15 a.m. – East 221 St. and Bronxwood Ave. Police investigators are looking into a double shooting. The incident happened in the North Bronx Wakefield community. Additional police officers were deployed into the area to help conduct a search for the culprit. Police officers from the Emergency Service Squad conducted an evidence search. Neither of the male victims was reported to be in life threatening condition as the inquiry continues.
WED, FEB. 18th, 12:55 p.m. – 800 East Gun Hill Rd. A teenager was taken into custody by authorities. Police arrested the young suspect after he was found in possession of a 22-caliber pistol. The teen could be facing a year in jail.
THURS, FEB. 19th, 11:00 p.m. – 921 East 226 St. Detectives from the Laconia Ave station house are looking for the culprit who killed a black male. The victim had been transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he expired a few minutes later after be shot in the face. Now police are faced with a homicide inquiry.
SUN, FEB. 22nd, 1:30 a.m. – White Plains Rd. and East 220 St. Police investigators are looking into a shooting that sent three black males to local hospitals. Responding officers found three males who had been shot. One of the victims was also stabbed in the back officials reported. One victim received a leg wound while another had a leg wound. Authorities indicated that one of the victims was found near the intersection of East 219 St. and Carpenter Ave.
SUN, FEB. 22nd, 9:40 p.m. – North Oak Drive and Wallace Ave. Police who found a male in possession of an unregistered gun. Arrested, was a 24-year-old male. Jamie O’Conner could be facing a year in jail after he was nabbed with a 357-caliber revolver.
48th PCT.
THURS, FEB. 19th, 11:25 a.m. – 563 East Tremont Ave. Detectives are looking for two black males whom robbed a local store. The unidentified culprits at gunpoint secured the employees the workers in a rear room as they gathered money and other property before fleeing.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 5:15 p.m. – 1941 Southern Blvd. A woman was arrested and charged with stabbing her husband. The attack apparently took place during a domestic dispute after the two had been drinking. The injured man was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital.
SUN, FEB. 22nd, 9:40 p.m. – 1980 Crotona Ave. A male had been shot once in the ankle authorities indicated. The victim was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital as an inquiry got underway by local sleuths.
49th PCT.
WED, FEB. 18th, 12:30 p.m. – 750 Morris Park Ave. Authorities indicated that a male was admitted to Einstein Hospital who had been stabbed. Three unidentified culprits who attempted to rob the victim of car keys. Once the vehicle alarm was activated, the culprit fled. Police were summoned, but they were unable to locate the perpetrator, now the detectives will handle the follow-up inquiry.
FRI, FEB. 20th, 4:45 p.m. – Bronx River Parkway. A 60-year-old Latino male was arrested after he was nabbed while in possession of a defaced handgun. Officers from Highway 1 made the arrest and vouched a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.
MON, FEB. 23rd, 4:30 p.m. – 2540 Barker Ave. Police are hoping to nab a Caucasian male who impersonates a police officer. The male culprit was driving a white-colored SUV officials reported and fled with property belonging to the victim. In an earlier incident, in the same area of the Bronx, the suspect displayed a police type radio as he removed a wallet from another victim. How ever, before the evening ended, police arrested a 37-year-old Hispanic male who was charged with impersonation of a police officer.
TUES, FEB. 24th, 4:45 p.m. – 2221 Boston Rd. Four suspects are in custody thanks to the effects of two off duty police officers. The two Manhattan police officers nabbed four culprits who robbed a cell phone. The robbery victim was not injured.
52nd PCT.
FRI, FEB. 20th, 9:00 p.m. – 3087 Bainbridge Ave. Authorities were alerted to a robbery moments after it had occurred. As an employee was preparing to close a record shop as a black male in his twenties entered. At gunpoint, the unidentified culprit took one hundred dollars out of the victim’s hand and fled. Police were hoping to recover evidence that could assist with identifying the culprit.
TUES, FEB. 24th, 4:30 a.m. – 2316 University Ave. Authorities were alerted that a male was holding his wife against her will. Specially trained and equipped police officers were notified to respond to the building, which is located north of West 183 St. Police later on recovered and vouched a 380-caliber pistol.
Housing
SAT, FEB. 21st, 1:00 p.m. – Police are looking to question a male after a woman informed police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 that she had been raped. Specially trained investigators from the Special Victim’s Squad were alerted and will assist with the inquiry.
SUN, FEB. 22nd, 9:35 p.m. – 1481 Washington Ave. Police investigators are looking into the shooting of a teenager. Arriving officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 found an 18-year-old black male who had been shot in the left leg. The teen was transported to Lincoln Medical Center.
Fire Log
WED, FEB. 18th, 8:01 p.m. – 1328 Taylor Ave. A fire in a three-story dwelling off of Westchester Ave went to two-alarms before it was declared under-control within 90 minutes. Upon arrival, Battalion 20 requested additional help by ordering the response of another engine and ladder company beyond the first alarm assignment. Fire was on the second floor and quickly spreading as two hose lines were ordered to be stretched. Division 6 indicated that the firefighters were up against a collier’s mansion condition inside the home. The second alarm was transmitted at 8:31 p.m. only 30 minutes after the fire was first reported. But it took an additional hour before the blaze was place under control be caused it spread to the 3rd floor and burned through the roof. Before the fire was finally out, two additional ladder companies were requested to help conduct searches.
SAT, FEB. 21st, 4:08 a.m. – 2134 Ellis Ave. Being close to a fire station does not help if the blaze goes undetected. Engine 64 and Ladder 47 were only several hundred feet away in their Castle Hill Ave. station as the fire started to burn. The fire was reported in a two-story dwelling on the second floor authorities reported. Fire units from several other stations responded with the two local Unionport area fire units. Arriving fire fighters indicated that the blaze was quickly spreading and additional help was going to be needed. A hose line was stretched as the pumper went to a local fire hydrant. Ladder 47’s crew parked their apparatus in front of the burning building. Within two minutes, a 2nd alarm was sounded with would double the size of the force bringing 90 firefighters to the scene. The blaze spread to a second building adding an additional predicament to the incident commander. Hose lines were deployed into both homes as the chief requested two additional ladder companies. Red Cross workers assisted the members of two families.
