Fri., Mar. 6, Art Workshop-Nature Photography. Session 1: Experience Wave Hill’s emerging spring landscape through your camera lens with photographer Benjamin Swett. Each session explores the elements of a successful photograph, drawing on examples from student work, prepared slides, field exploration and outdoor shooting assignments. 6-session fee: $105 member; $160 non-member. Lehman College Art Gallery, Bedford Park Boulevard West, will present Viñoly in the Bronx, highlighting building designs of renowned architect Rafael Viñoly. The buildings include the Bronx County Hall of Justice, the Bronx Housing Court, and the Athletics and Physical Education Facility (APEX) at Lehman College/CUNY. The exhibition features drawings, photographs, planning documents, and a model of Lehman’s APEX. Viñoly in the Bronx is being presented as part of the borough’s celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Grand Concourse.

The School of American Ballet will take its 75th anniversary celebration into New York City’s neighborhoods with the presentation of three, free lecture-demonstrations in the Bronx in mid-March.

From Studio to Stage, an enchanting and informative introduction to the art of classical ballet, is recommended for ages 4 through adult. Admission is free for all events and no advance tickets are required. Seating will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. En Foco’s Touring Gallery presents Rojelio Reyes Rodriguez’ photographic series, Mi Sangre, a black and white body of work exploring his Mexican heritage. The series is the photographer’s personal rediscovery of the link to his Mexican heritage.
