International plans Easter brunch

International Caterers of Distinction is offering an all-you-can eat buffet for Easter Sunday.

The catering firm, which operates out of Knights of Columbus Guiding Star Council’s hall at 3243 Ampere Avenue in Spencer Estate, is offering a feast that includes traditional Easter Sunday dishes like roast leg of lamb with mint jelly, as well as Chicken Franchese and other Italian specialties.

The meal, on Sunday, April 12 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., allows families to leave the cooking to someone else so they can be together on the important holiday.

“We usually get a nice sized crowd for Easter Sunday,” said co-owner of International Caterers and executive chef Tony Candela. “Reservations are necessary and have to be made by Good Friday. This is the 20th year we are doing it out of 26 years in business, and it gets better every year.”

The price of seating for adults is $35, while children 12-years-old and under eat for only $13. Beer, wine, and soda are included, along with the hot buffet, coffee and dessert. Lunch includes a large variety of other items like assorted breads, salad bar, and soup.

Candela said that there will be an Easter Bunny on hand to pose for photos with the kids. There will also be a D.J. providing music and dancing.

“There is only one seating so we don’t have to rush people out, Candela said. “We don’t try to cram people in and get them out in an hour and half. We want people to feel like they are at home, but with the luxury of having waiters and waitresses waiting on them.”

Candela said that since they take care of all of the food preparation, the patrons can relax and enjoy the afternoon.
