Benedetto conducts district tour

Assemblyman Michael Benedetto, in a continuing effort to stay in contact with the constituents he represents, conducted a walking tour of his entire assembly district on Saturday, May 2. This was the second time the assemblyman has done the district-wide tour.

At selected points on his route, the assemblyman made stops to address local issues of concern. Among the issues he addressed were: the MTA, parking availability, and area traffic patterns.

“I strongly believe that one of the most important jobs of an elected official is to keep in touch with his/her constituents and that is why I am conducting this walk,” said Benedetto.

Councilman James Vacca joined Benedetto on the first leg of the tour along East Tremont Avenue to Pelham Bay Station.

The walking tour started at Miles Avenue and East Tremont Avenue.

The tour included stops at Tremont Avenue and Randall Avenue; Tremont Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard; Westchester Square; Crosby Avenue and Westchester Avenue; Pelham Bay Train Station; Bartow Shopping Center; Dreiser Shopping Center; Einstein Shopping Center; Hawkins Park.
