Today’s news:

Bronx film trio shoot Baby Boomer

Hollywood’s Bronx boy, James Madio, returned home for his directorial debut on April 24, 25, and 26. He filmed in collaboration with Bronx artists and producers like Harrington Talents and Joe Mileto at locations including Wilkinson Park and Pelham Bay Little League’s Naclerio Field.

Madio is known for his acting in films such as Hero, The Basketball Diaries, and Band of Brothers. Now Madio is transforming his more than 18 years of acting into working behind the camera.

He has worked with cinema greats such as Dustin Hoffman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Hanks, and twice with Steven Spielberg. Instead of using his talent in sunny California, Madio decided to return home for production of his film Baby Bomber.

Joe Mileto, born and raised in the Bronx is known for his successful plays, which include Pasta & Pigskin and Can’noli Happen in America and Harrington Talents produced the Bronx-favorite Doughboys.

Baby Bomber is a comedy that centers on the madness of American parents when it comes to youth baseball.

“The Bronx is the perfect shooting ground, where youth baseball is as big as high school football in Texas,” Madio said.

Baby Bomber also stars Rick Gomez, who has appeared in Transformers, Sin City, and Band of Brothers.
