40th PCT.

MON, JUNE 8th, 2:55 p.m. – 820 Jackson Ave. Authorities were alerted that a shooting had occurred. Responding officers found a 27 year old Hispanic male who had been shot several times. The man was suffering from wounds to the back, upper torso, and right arm. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he expired around 3:30 p.m. despite effects to assist him. Now local detectives will conduct a homicide inquiry.

TUES, JUNE 9th, 11:50 p.m. – 355 Exterior St. An undercover police officer nabbed a suspect who was in possession of two unregistered handguns. Recovered by authorities were a 357-caliber Ruger and a 40-caliber pistol. Both weapons were vouched for court use.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 1:40 a.m. – 180 Brook Ave. Police removed another 38-caliber revolver from the street when the gun was taken from its male owner. The unregistered gun will be used as evidence during the culprit’s court proceedings.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 9:50 a.m. – 461 Willis Ave. Police were summoned after the body of a 30-year-old woman was discovered. The woman apparently died from an overdose of drugs and alcohol while visiting from Fla. Detectives were waiting for the official report from the Medical Examiner’s office.

42nd PCT.

TUES, JUNE 9th, 7:20 p.m. – 953 East 167 St. A search is underway for seven black males who robbed a beauty salon. The thieves removed from one of the occupants a woman’s pocket book that contained property of the victim, including a state court officer’s badge and official identification among other items.

WED, JUNE 10th, 2:05 a.m. – Prospect Ave. and East 163 St. A 24 year old man was placed behind bars by a local police officer. The suspect was nabbed along with a 38-caliber revolver.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 4:20 a.m. – 1241 Tinton Ave. An undercover police investigator arrested a male suspect. The male suspect was charged with illegal possession of a weapon.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 2:10 a.m. – Washington Ave. and East 169 St. Local police officers are working with officers from Housing’s PSA 7 concerning the shooting of two males. A 23-year-old Hispanic male was suffering from a bullet wound to the arm while a 16-year-old black male was shot in the leg. Local detectives are handling the inquiry.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 2:20 a.m. – 3603 Third Ave. Investigators are looking into a reported that shots had been fired. The weapon discharge came from a large group. No injuries were reported.

43rd PCT.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 2:20 a.m. – Castle Hill Ave. and Parker St. A suspect was arrested as police removed a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol from possible street use.

SUN, JUNE 14th, 6:55 a.m. – Cross Bronx Expwy. and Rosedale Ave. A 65-year-old Hispanic man was struck and killed. The male victim, a tow truck driver, apparently died at the scene. Police ended up arresting the driver after leaving that the person’s driver license had been suspended.

44th PCT.

MON, JUNE 8th, 7:05 p.m. – 196 East 161 St. Authorities are looking for a male who robbed a store near the borough’s Supreme Court building. The unknown culprit entered the local Twin Donut shop asking for change of a twenty-dollar bill. When the store worker opened the cash register, the thief lifted his shirt to show what appears to be a gun. The culprit then took $250 from the cash register before fleeing.

THURS, JUNE 11th, 10:15 a.m. – 220 East 161 St. A suspect was arrested after shots had been fired. Officials indicated that no one had been injured by gunfire, however they did leave evidence behind. Authorities arrested two males while recovering a weapon. One of the culprits required medical attention and was taken to Lincoln Medical Center.

THURS, JUNE 11th, 11:40 a.m. – 215 East 161 St. A 17 year old black male ended up in hot water with the police. The teen was nabbed while in possession of a semi-automatic pistol.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 2:50 p.m. – 1288 Grant Ave. A Hispanic male armed with a knife is wanted by police for questioning in connection to a home invasion. The culprit pushed his way into a three family home while displaying a knife. The occupants were secured by the culprit who fled with over twenty-two dollars in cash besides six hundred dollars in checks.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 1:00 a.m. – East 164 St. and Walton Ave. The staff at Lincoln Medical Center treated a male who appeared at the hospital seeking medical care. The man who was in critical condition was suffering from a bullet wound. Detectives were summoned medical facility.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 8:50 p.m. – McClellan St. and Grand Concourse. Police are looking into a shooting that sent a 22-year-old Hispanic male seeking medical assistance. The man took a livery car to the hospital where he looked for assistance for a wound to the leg. Detectives are looking into the incident.

SUN, JUNE 14th, 12:45 a.m. – Jerome Ave. and East 164 St. A Hispanic male was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in critical condition suffering from a bullet wound. The man was suffering from a wound to the head. Police at the shooting scene were busy gathering information about the incident.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 2:25 a.m. – 1419 Rowland St. Police officials spoke to a 17 year old girl where was perched on a fire-escape. The emotional distressed teenage was taken into custody by specially trained police officers from the Emergency Service Squad and was transported to Jacobi Medical Center for assistance.

46th PCT.

MON, JUNE 8th, 5:45 p.m. – 1750 Sedgwick Ave. Police are looking into a shooting that sent a 19-year-old male to St Barnabas Hospital. The black teen was found with a bullet wound to the ankle. Authorities are looking into the incident.

TUES, JUNE 9th, 7:15 a.m. – 1925 Harrison Ave. Police recovered a catch of weapons with the arrest of five suspects. The weapons included a sawed off rifle, a semi-automatic 32-caliber pistol, besides a 38 caliber revolver.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 12:30 a.m. – West 182 St. and Davidson Ave. The staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated a male for a bullet wound. The wound was located in the head area. Detectives from the Ryer Ave. Squad will conduct the follow-up inquiry.

SUN, JUNE 14th, 5:10 a.m. – Police officers from the Ryer Ave station assisted a 15-year-old Hispanic girl. The teen told officials that a family member had sexually assaulted her.

47th PCT.

MON, JUNE 8th, 3:15 p.m. – 3040 Cruger Ave. Emergency workers were forced to evacuate over three-dozen people from their homes. Police officers teamed up with firefighters and Con Edison workers after a gas leak was detected. Upon checking with specialized meters, emergency crews determined that the area was not safe for people to be in. Official’s evacuated 39 persons, not permitting them to return unit the gas was turned off and the area properly ventilated.

MON, JUNE 8th, 6:10 p.m. – 724 East 222 St. Authorities are looking into the death of a 6-month-old baby. The infant was transported to Montifiore Hospital’s North Division on East 233 St. where it was indicated that the baby expired. Police investigators were busy questioning certain family members.

TUES, JUNE 9th, 7:15 a.m. – 3327 Seymour Ave. Officials were not taking any changes when they evacuated the residents of three buildings because of an explosive device. Authorities had been lead to a hand grenade and upon checking, determined that the device was real. The Bomb Squad expects were called to the scene by officers from the Emergency Service Squad who also believed that the device was active. The Bomb Squad officers removed the device to police range at Rodman Neck along with an escort from Highway 1’s officers.

WED, JUNE 10th, 6:40 p.m. – 1880 Bartow Ave. Authorities are looking for a black male who with a gun committed a robbery. The thief fled with person property from the unidentified victim besides an unknown amount of money.

WED, JUNE 10th, 7:40 p.m. – 1176 East 224 St. A local undercover police officer arrested a 44-year-old suspect who was in possession of a 9-mm pistol.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 5:20 a.m. – 756 East 220 St. Police officials are looking for the person who attacked a 22-year-old black female. The victim was suffering from a stab wound to the armpit area when she arrived at Montifiore Hospital’s North Division. The suspect fled before police could arrive.

SUN, JUNE 14th, 6:40 a.m. – 3740 White Plains Rd. A business owner was alerted that the commercial enterprise had been robbed at gunpoint. The thief made off with a large sum of money. Authorities are also looking to talk to the new employee who also apparently disappeared. No injuries were reported.

48th PCT.

TUES, JUNE 9th, 7:00 p.m. – 2301 Honeywell Ave. Authorities are looking for a Hispanic male, about 26 years old, who cashed a stolen check. Detectives are looking to question the man about how he obtained the check

WED, JUNE 10th, 4:50 p.m. – 1950 Daly Ave. A dispute between two males ended with one of the culprits discharging a gun. Authorities recovered several shells from a 40-caliber pistol, but indicated that no injuries were reported.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 6:10 a.m. – 854 Bronx Park South. Emergency Service Squad police officers were summoned by local police officer. Authorities were informed that after getting out of jail, a male culprit had a fight with his girlfriend, who had bailed him out of jail. The male told his girlfriend that he was going to barricade himself inside her home with her two children and a pit bull dog after assaulting her. He continued to verbally threaten the unidentified female who then summoned police. The officers from the Emergency Service Squad eventually entered the home finding only the two children who were left home alone. The male had escaped prior to the arrival of police.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 11:05 p.m. – 611 East 182 St. A shooting sent a 28-year-old black male to St. Barnabas Hospital. The man was suffering from a wound to the right leg officials indicated. The staff at St. Barnabas Hospital indicated that the man was in stable condition.

49th PCT.

SAT, JUNE 13th, 3:10 a.m. – 1240 Burke Ave. Police are looking for the person who shot a male victim in the leg. The injured male was suffering from a bullet wound to the left leg. He was treated at Jacobi Medical Center

SUN, JUNE 14th, 8:55 p.m. – Pelham Parkway. Police were summoned to the emergency room of Jacobi Medical Center after a person arrived suffering from a bullet wound. The 19-year-old Hispanic male was suffering a bullet wound to the face area. Due to the wound, the teen was unable to provide the police with any information.

50th PCT.

MON, JUNE 8th, 11:00 p.m. – 6355 Broadway. Police officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad were summoned to the Northwest section of the borough. An accident involving a Beeline bus sent a 75-year-old man to an area hospital. The man expired at 11:45 p.m. despite effects to assist him.

SUN, JUNE 14th, 4:05 a.m. – Broadway and West 231 St. For day’s traffic was diverted from the busy intersection after a broken water main was discovered. As repair crews arrived traffic was detoured so that the street could be ripped up and the broken main exposed. Buses were rerouted, Con Edison crews ensured utility stability for nearby customers.

52nd PCT.

TUES, JUNE 9th, 8:45 p.m. – 3016 Webster Ave. Local officers who also vouched two illegal guns that were in the man’s possession arrested a 54-year-old male.

THURS, JUNE 11th, 12:10 a.m. – Jerome Ave. and East 196 St. Police are looking into a reported shooting. Authorities indicated that a Hispanic male was shot in the arm and back. Detectives are looking for the culprit.

FRI, JUNE 12th, 9:45 p.m. – East 198 St. and Creston Ave. Police are looking into an incident that sent two Hispanic teenagers to St. Barnabas Hospital. A 16-year-old boy was suffering from a bullet wound to the back while a 15-year-old boy had wounds to the left thigh and the right calf.

SUN, JUNE 14th, 8:20 p.m. – East 205 St. and Villa Ave. Four persons were arrested by responding police officers. At lease five shots had been fired without anyone being injured. Arresting police officers did recover a 38-caliber revolver besides making the arrests while taking four males between the ages of 16 and 22 years old.

SUN, JUNE 14th, 11:55 p.m. – 2271 Grand Ave. Two victims of a robbery attempt were shot during a struggle. A black male attempted to rob the victims at gunpoint. A struggle ensured with the gun going off. The two victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment. Both were reported in stable condition.

Housing

MON, JUNE 8th, 7:10 a.m. – 595 Trinity Ave. Additional police officers were deployed into the surrounding area after an autistic youth was reported missing. The 18 year old autistic boy was being placed on a bus as his mother watched. The youth bolted, fleeing the scene. Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 were alerted and responded. After obtaining information about the incident, additional police officers were deployed into the community to help with the search. Within 90 minutes the teen was found.

THURS, JUNE 11th, 8:10 p.m. – 215 Alexander Ave. Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 are investigating a discharge of a weapon. Police at the scene found evidence indicating that four shots had been fired. No injuries were reported.
