40th PCT.

WED, JUNE 17th, 11:00 p.m. – 810 East 152 St. The staff at Lincoln Medical Center treated a Hispanic male who became a crime victim. An unidentified culprit had shot the male victim once in the abdomen. Detectives are looking into the shooting.

41st PCT.

MON, JUNE 15th, 10:50 p.m. – 1086 Simpson Ave. A suspect was arrested as police in the South Bronx removed a 380-caliber handgun from possible future criminal use. A suspect was arrested and could be facing a year in jail.

THURS, JUNE 18th, 10:35 p.m. – 883 Bruckner Blvd. A barricade situation kept police busy for more then an hour. Specially trained police officers from the Emergency Service Squad summoned experts from the Hostage Negations Squad and the Technical Assistance Response Unit as an unidentified person disregarded instructions from police officers to surrender. In about 60 minutes, police has the emotionally disturbed person in custody and removed from the building.

42nd PCT.

MON, JUNE 15th, 1:15 a.m. – 390 East 162 St. Two males were taken into custody by undercover police officers after they were found with an unregistered 9-mm pistol. The two black males, ages 27 and 28, could be facing a year in jail for not having a permit for the handgun.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 10:25 p.m. – Clinton Ave. and Jefferson Pl. Authorities are looking into a shooting that sent a teenager to St. Barnabas Hospital. A 19-year-old Hispanic male was suffering a bullet wound to the shoulder area upon arriving at the trauma center. Now local detectives will conduct the inquiry hoping to capture the culprit.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 1:10 a.m. – Fulton Ave. and East 172 St. Three persons were arrested as police vouched another illegal gun. This time a 40-caliber pistol was removed from the street as a 21-year-old black female along with a 19-year-old black male and a 22-year-old black male were all arrested.

43rd PCT.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 1:55 p.m. – 2245 Randall Ave. Additional police resourced were needed at the scene of a standoff. A barricaded emotionally disturbed person kept police at bay by failing to follow instructions to surrender to authorities in the Castle Hill section. The person ended in police custody shortly before 4:45 p.m. then they were transported to Jacobi Medical Center for psychological assistance.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 5:15 a.m. – Leland Ave and Archer St. Authorities were alerted that a male had been attacked. Arriving officers found a male suffering from a stab wound. The injured victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center as authorities looked into the attack.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 12:05 p.m. – 640 Taylor Ave. An emotionally disturbed person had to be taser by specially trained police officers in the Sound View community. Once in custody, the 34-year-old black male was transported to Jacobi Medical Center.

44th PCT.

MON, JUNE 15th, 9:20 p.m. – Gerard Ave. and East 161 St. Another gun was taken off the streets when police found a 45-caliber pistol on a suspect’s possession.

THURS, JUNE 18th, 8:55 p.m. – 1505 Grand Concourse. A suspect was arrested after police recovered an illegal gun from the person’s possession. Arresting officers vouched this time a 25-caliber pistol.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 2:45 a.m. – Mount Eden Ave. and Townsend Ave. Two more handguns were removed from local streets by police officers. Vouched for future court use were a 22-caliber pistol and a 38-caliber revolver.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 9:00 p.m. – River Ave. and East 165 St. Police are looking into a homicide. The 25-year-old black male was found with a bullet wound to the head. He was transported to Lincoln Medical Center were he expired at 2:45 a.m. the following morning despite effects to assist him.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 1:30 a.m. – West 170 St. and Nelson Ave. A 22-caliber revolver was taken off the streets of the Highbridge community when police officers nabbed its owner. Arresting officers for future court use vouched the weapon.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 1:35 a.m. – 136 West 168 St. A 19 year old black male lost his battle to live after being shot. The teen died within a short time after arriving at Lincoln Medical Center with a wound to the chest area. Detectives are looking into the incident.

45th PCT.

TUES, JUNE 16th, 7:30 p.m. – 2860 Bruckner Blvd. Police experts responded to a report that a possible explosive device had been found in a backyard near East Tremont Ave. in the Throggs Neck section. Experts from several police units merged on the site and to take a closer look at the grenade. Calm returned after 45 minutes to the community.

TUES, JUNE 16th, 11:00 p.m. – 900 Baychester Ave. Authorities are looking into the death of a young woman. Police were alerted that a 27-year-old black female apparently took her own life. The woman’s body was released to the Medical Examiner’s office so that an autopsy could be performed.

WED, JUNE 17th, 6:00 p.m. – 824 Throggs Neck Expwy. The body of a 39-year-old Hispanic male had been discovered. The man apparently took his own life with a bullet to the head.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 6:15 p.m. – Saint Theresa Ave. Authorities are looking into a shooting that sent a 35-year-old Hispanic male to a local hospital. The man was admitted to Jacobi Medical Center for a bullet wound below the ear area. An inquiry is underway by local detectives.

46th PCT.

MON, JUNE 15th, 3:40 p.m. – Grand Concourse and East 179 St. An Army soldier was arrested after being found with a unregistered weapon. The solder will not only be facing local charges but will also have to stand a military trial also.

TUES, JUNE 16th, 12:30 p.m. – 2051 Webster Ave. Police officers recovering another weapon arrested a 39-year-old man. When arresting the suspect, police recovered a 40-caliber gun that was not registered.

WED, JUNE 17th, 3:10 p.m. – 31 Mt. Hope Ave. Police armed with a search warrant recovered another illegal weapon in the Tremont-Mt. Morris area community. Authorities arrested a male suspect after recovering the gun.

47th PCT.

THURS, JUNE 18th, 11:20 a.m. – 711 East 231 St. A suspect was arrested as another illegal gun was removed from the Wakefield community by local patrol officers.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 2:45 a.m. – 727 East 221 St. This time police removed another 9-mm pistol with the arrest of it illegal owner.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 12:45 p.m. – Barnes Ave. and East 243 St. Two more pistols were removed from the Wakefield community. This time with two arrest, police officers vouched a 380-caliber pistol and a 38-caliber revolver.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 10:10 p.m. – East Gun Hill Rd. Police are looking into a shooting that sent a Hispanic teen to a local medical facility. The 19-year-old male arrived at Montifiore Hospital on his own suffering from a bullet wound to the left calf. The victim informed investigators that he was walking near the housing development when he was shot.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 11:45 p.m. – East 213 St. and Paulding Ave. Authorities were alerted that nearly two-dozen homes were without electricity. A down electrical line caused the black out to 20 homes. Power was restored by 2 a.m. thanks to the effects of Con Edison employees.

48th PCT.

TUES, JUNE 16th, 2:50 p.m. – 1938 Webster Ave. Authorities are looking for two culprits whom invaded a home. The culprits were described as a male and female pair who was armed with a knife. The pair pushed their way into the victim’s home fleeing with a cell-phone and a besides other electronic property. A follow-up investigation lead to the arrest of two suspects authorities indicated.

WED, JUNE 17th, 1:50 p.m. – 2366 Webster Ave. A 26-year-old black male was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital after being attacked. The male victim received a laceration to the chest area. Authorities did arrest a female at the scene of the attack.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 1:10 a.m. – 2174 Bathgate Ave. Police investigators are looking into a double shooting. At first, investigators knew that a 16-year-old black male was shot in the thigh and ankle. The teen was transported to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital. Many hours had passed when a 14-year-old girl arrived at the hospital stating that she was also a victim of the same shooting. Police investigators were alerted that the young girl was suffering from a bullet wound to the right thigh.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 1:15 a.m. – Bassford Ave. and East 183 St. A local patrol officer nabbed a suspect who was in possession of a 380-caliber pistol.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 5:00 p.m. – 603 East 180 St. Police were called to Bronx Lebanon Hospital after a 16 year old Hispanic male appeared there suffering from a bullet wound. The teen was suffering from a bullet wound to the left hand. Hours after the shoot had occurred the teen admitted to investigators that the wound was self-inflicted.

49th PCT.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 12:15 p.m. – 1300 Pelham Parkway. Investigators were summoned to the emergency room of Jacobi Medical Center after a teenager arrived there. The 19-year-old black male teen found his way to the medical facility on his own after being stabbed. The incident is under investigation.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 11:50 p.m. – 2215 Bronxwood Ave. Police are looking into a shooting that sent a male to Jacobi Medical Center. The victim was discovered with a bullet wound to the arm authorities indicated.

50th PCT.

WED, JUNE 17th, 5:15 p.m. – 6141 Broadway. A 28-year-old Arab male was arrested when he was found in possession of an illegal weapon. The male was in possession of a 380-caliber pistol when arrested.

FRI, JUNE 19th, 7:15 p.m. – Marble Hill Ave. and West 228 St. Authorities are looking for the culprit who assaulted a Hispanic male. The male victim was suffering from a stab wound to the chest when he arrived at St. Barnabas Hospital. Due to the medical staff’s work, the victim was reported to be in stable condition.

52nd PCT.

TUES, JUNE 16th, 12:45 a.m. – Jerome Ave. and Fordham Rd. A suspect was arrested by responding police officers after a male was assaulted. Apparently two Hispanic males punched the unidentified victim in the head before fleeing with property belonging to the victim. Investigators are looking for the second attacker.

TUES, JUNE 16th, 8:00 p.m. – 10 West Fordham Rd. Emergency personnel responded to assist a teenager. Arriving personnel found a 17-year-old male who had been stabbed once in the back. The injured teen was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was reported in stable condition.

WED, JUNE 17th, 7:30 p.m. – 2979 Marion Ave. Firefighters turned over an apparent drug lab to arriving police officers. The firemen were called to the structure after water leaked from an apartment caused a hazardous condition. Firefighters went to shut down the cause of the leaking water they discovered a marijuana farm inside the apartment. Police were then summoned to the building, initializing an ongoing inquiry.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 9:30 a.m. – 234 East 198 St. Authorities are looking for a 30-year-old Hispanic woman who attempted to rob a bank in the Bedford Park community. Additional police officers were deployed into the area that is north of East Fordham Rd. The would-be thief fled from the bank empty handed.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 10:25 a.m. – Bailey Ave. Local police officers came to the aid of a state corrections officer. The state employee apparently shot himself in the thigh. The officer was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and treated for the bullet wound.

SAT, JUNE 20th, 4:45 p.m. – 2463 Grand Ave. A 22-year-old Hispanic male went to a local medical facility seeking care for two bullet wounds. Police were summoned to the Veterans Hospital off of West Kingsbridge Rd. after the victim appeared seeking medical help. The inquiry is underway.

Housing

MON, JUNE 15th, 7:40 p.m. – 1230 Webster Ave. A suspect was arrested after being stopped for a traffic violation. The culprit was stopped by police officers for reckless driving, but the motorist was taken into custody when authorities recovered a police badge that was in the suspect’s custody.

WED, JUNE 17th, 4:00 a.m. – 2280 Randall Ave. A police officer was transported to Jacobi Medical Center. The police officer fired a bullet at a pit-bull dog. It was unknown if the bullet struck the animal. The police officer from Housing’s PSA # 8 was treated for trauma.

WED, JUNE 17th, 3:55 p.m. – 1744 Watson Ave. Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 8 came o the aid of three persons. ‘BB’ that was fired in the area of the Bronxdale Housing Development had struck the three victims. The victims were all treated at Jacobi Medical Center. Detectives from the 43rd Pct. Squad are heading the inquiry.
