40th PCT.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 9:40 p.m. – East 147 St. and Wales Ave. Arriving police officers found a Hispanic male suffering from a bullet wound. The 41-year-old crime victim was suffering from the wound to the left thigh. He was treated at Lincoln Medical Center as investigators gathered information about the incident.

SAT, JULY 4th, 1:30 a.m. – Third Ave. and East 149 St. A 15 year old black male was transported to the Alexander Ave. police station. The teen was jailed after being found with a 9-mm pistol.

SAT, JULY 4th, 2:45 a.m. – Willis Ave. and East 138 St. A 22-caliber pistol was taken off the street by local police. The handgun, a semi-automatic pistol, was vouched for court use at a future date.

SAT, JULY 4th, 5:40 a.m. – 672 Courtlandt Ave. Police investigators are looking into an incident where a male had been stabbed. A 26-year-old Hispanic male was suffering from a stab wound to the right leg when he arrived at Lincoln Medical Center. Local detectives are now busy gathering information about the incident.

41st PCT.

THURS, JULY 2nd, 11:35 p.m. – 1039 Simpson St. Specially trained police officers established a dialogue with an 18-year-old male. The emotionally disturbed teen was locked in an apartment. Once police gained custody of the teenager he was transported to Lincoln Medical Center and provided with assistance.

SAT, JULY 4th, 3:50 a.m. – Home St. and East 169 St. Another semi-automatic pistol was removed from possible street use by local police officers. Arresting officers recovered a 380-caliber pistol when its male owner was taken into custody.

SAT, JULY 4th, 11:50 p.m. – Seneca Ave. and Bryant Ave. Arriving police officers were unable to locate any victims from a weapon discharge. After searching the area, police officials were also unable to spot any damage that was caused by the shots being fired.

MON, JULY 6th, 5:25 a.m. – 950 Ave. St. John – Detectives are looking into a shooting that sent a male to Lincoln Medical Center. The male victim was shot in the stomach officials reported.

42nd PCT.

SAT, JULY 4th, 1:30 a.m. – 1225 Fulton Ave. Authorities are looking into a reported double stabbing. One black male was stabbed in the buttocks while the second victim was suffering from two stab wounds to the back. Both victims were treated at Lincoln Medical Center. Detectives are looking into the incident.

SAT, JULY 4th, 8:15 p.m. – 1253 Franklin Ave. Police took a 30-year-old black male into custody. The male culprit was charged with illegal possession of a 22-caliber revolver.

SUN, JULY 5th, 12:25 a.m. – 1020 Trinity Pl. Police investigators are looking into a weapon discharge. Officials were informed that shots had ringed out. Investigating officers indicated that no one was injured, but there was damage to a vehicle.

SUN, JULY 5th, 2:25 a.m. – 1064 Cauldwell Ave. The crew in Lincoln Medical Center’s Emergency Room worked on a male who had been shot three times. The victim was reported to be in critical condition. Detectives have been assigned to investigate the shooting.

SUN, JULY 5th, 10:25 p.m. – 695 East 163 St. A male lost the struggle to live after being stabbed several times. The male victim was suffering stab wounds to the abdomen and chest areas upon arriving at the hospital.

43rd PCT.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 2:15 p.m. – Authorities are looking into a report that an older male relative sexually abused a ten-year-old female. Police are looking into questioning a teenage male who’s a cousin to the victim.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 8:08 p.m. – 1864 Bruckner Blvd. A robbery was interrupted by a retired police officer. The unknown culprit pointed a gun at the retired officer, but his status did not stop him from swinging into action. The former cop intervened by firing three shots. No one was injured, but the culprit fled empty handed.

44th PCT.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 1:40 a.m. -1187 Ogden Ave. One suspect was arrested as police officers patrolling the Highbridge community recovered an illegal weapon. This time a 38-caliber revolver was taken off the streets and vouched by the arresting police officers.

SAT, JULY 4th, 4:30 p.m. – Gerard Ave. and East 163 St. Police were called to Lincoln Medical Center after a person arrived at the hospital seeking medical assistance. The victim, a 19-year-old black female, was suffering from a bullet wound. The inquiry is now in the hands of local sleuths.

SAT, JULY 4th, 10:35 p.m. – 1188 Grand Concourse. Investigators are looking into an incident where a bullet had been fired through a window. None of the occupants were injured according to responding officers.

SAT, JULY 4th, 10:55 p.m. – Macomb’s Rd. and Inwood Ave. Another illegal gun was taken off local streets with the arrest of a Hispanic male.

SAT, JULY 4th, 11:00 p.m. – College Ave. and East 170 St. A 21 year old Hispanic male was jailed by local police officers. The young man was found to be in possession of an unregistered handgun. Recovered and vouched by police was a 22-caliber pistol.

SUN, JULY 5th, 1:10 a.m. – Jerome Ave. and 170 St. Emergency personnel responded to assist a 16-year-old male. The teen had been shot once in the leg by one of the members of a group of black males who were walking by the teen. The victim was transported to an area hospital while police look into the incident.

SUN, JULY 5th, 1:10 a.m.- East 170 St. and Grand Concourse. Patrol officers arrested a suspect who was in possession of an unregistered handgun. Police recovered a 38-caliber revolver.

SUN, JULY 5th, 1:30 a.m. -Elliot Pl. and Walton Ave. Undercover police officers nabbed three black males for possession of an unregistered gun. Recovered by the arresting officers was a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.

SUN, JULY 5th, 11:45 p.m. – Grand Concourse and East 170 St. Undercover police officers nabbed a suspect who was in possession of an unregistered handgun. Members of the Bronx Anti-Crime unit who recovered a 45-caliber pistol made the arrest.

45th PCT.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 11:25 a.m. – 120 Benchley Pl. Police officers had to use a taser in order to control a 27-year-old woman in the Co-op City community. Once the woman was in custody, she was transported to Jacobi Medical Center for specialized assistance.

SAT, JULY 4th, 9:50 p.m. – Ferry Point Park. Local detectives are looking into an assault that took place in the huge park located in the Throggs Neck area. An unidentified male was stabbed, officials indicated. The victim was transported to an area hospital and provided with medical assistance.

46th PCT.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 5:05 a.m. – The staff at North Central Bronx Hospital treated an 18-year-old Latino female who had been sexually assaulted by an unknown male. Investigators from the local detective squad and Special Victims Squad are teaming up to handle the inquiry.

SAT, JULY 4th, 8:40 p.m. – Jerome Ave. and Featherbed Lane. Police officers while on patrol arrested a male culprit who was in possession of an illegal 32-caliber revolver. The weapon was removed from the male suspect so it could be vouched for court use at a future date.

MON, JULY 6th, 9:00 p.m. – Ryer Ave. Police Station. Police Department supervisors at the Ryer Ave. station house had their hands full for a while. It seems that an unidentified female entered the police station along with a four-month-old infant. The Latino woman surrendered the baby to police officials. The baby was taken St. Barnabas Hospital where he was examined and then turned over to officials of the Agency of Children Services.

47th PCT.

THURS, JULY 2nd, 2:45 a.m. – 665 East 225 St. Two black males fled in a vehicle belonging to another person. Armed with a shotgun, the two culprits removed the vehicle keys from the victim, taking the vehicle with them.

THURS, JULY 2nd, 12:20 p.m. – White Plains Rd. and East 219 St. A 25 year old Hispanic male offered a police officer a bribe. Instead, the man lost the three hundred dollars that was offered to the police officer, he was also arrested and will be facing the bribery charge.

THURS, JULY 2nd, 8:30 p.m. – 735 East 242 St. Police on patrol in the north end of the Wakefield community nabbed a 22-year-old Hispanic male. The young man was nabbed while in possession of a 38-caliber revolver.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 2:00 p.m. – Bronxwood Ave. and East 225 St. Two police officers were injured when a civilian vehicle struck a police vehicle. Officials indicated that the police vehicle was responding to an emergency call when the accident occurred. The officers were transported to Jacobi Medical Center while the civilian motorist was removed to Montifiore Hospital’s Northern Division on East 233 Street with a minor injury.

MON, JULY 6th, 2:00 a.m. – 2151 Nereid Ave. Detectives are looking into a shooting that sent two males to neighborhood hospitals. A 19-year-old black male was suffering bullet wounds to the head and leg. Despite effects to assist him, the teenage succumbed to his injuries around 3:30 a.m. The second victim, a 20-year-old male was treated at North Central Bronx Hospital for a graze wound to the chest area.

MON, JULY 6th, 6:35 p.m. – 980 East 233 St. Authorities are looking into a reported robbery. Investigators indicated that an unknown culprit with what appeared to be a simulated gun conducted a robbery. An unknown amount of money was taken from the victim.

48th PCT.

THURS, JULY 2nd, 1:10 p.m. – 700 East 179 St. Police investigators are looking into a shooting that sent an 18-year-old black male to a local hospital. The teen was suffering from a bullet wound to the neck when he arrived at St. Barnabas Hospital. Upon checking, investigators learned that the victim, who was arrested, was wanted by authorities for outstanding warrants against him.

THURS, JULY 2nd, 6:55 p.m. – Park Ave. and East 184 St. Police arrested a suspect who was in custody of an illegal handgun. Taken off the street was a 380-caliber handgun. The weapon was vouched for future court use.

SAT, JULY 4th, 9:00 p.m. – East 180 St. and Van Nest Ave. After a vehicle pursuit, police arrested a suspect. The culprit was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

MON, JULY 6th, 10:30 a.m. – 2480 Belmont Ave. Authorities believe that a 76-year-old man took his own life. The victim was found with a bullet wound to the head, apparently self-inflicted. Now the Medical Examiner’s office will determine if the death was suspicious.

49th PCT.

SUN, JULY 5th, 12:35 a.m. – 1826 White Plains Rd. A 19-year-old Latino female ended up in trouble with the law. Police while in possession of a 22-caliber revolver nabbed the teen.

SUN, JULY 5th, 2:00 a.m. – 1255 Adee Ave. A culprit wanted in connection with an assault kept police at bay. The suspect was barricaded when police arrived, but was described as emotionally disturbed. Police officers were able to gain custody of the culprit who was wanted in connection with an assault that occurred during a domestic dispute.

50th PCT.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 5:00 a.m. – 2 Adrian Ave. Investigators are looking into a house invasion that occurred in the Marble Hill section of the county. Police were informed that four males entered the apartment overpowering the occupant. The woman’s face was covered, besides her hands secured. The culprits fled with almost two thousand dollars and an unknown amount of jewelry.

52nd PCT.

FRI, JULY 3rd, 3:30 p.m. – 2670 Bainbridge Ave. A woman and two children fell victims to four males during a home invasion. The four Hispanic males at gunpoint entered the apartment. The culprits fled with seven hundred dollars in cash.

SAT, JULY 4th, 9:55 p.m. – Exterior St and West 225 St. Specially trained police officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad were summoned to the scene of a fatal vehicle accident. The incident involved a motorcycle, officials indicated. One of the injured parties was transported to the Allen Pavilion in northern Manhattan. Officials indicated that this was a fatal accident.

Housing

THURS, JULY 2nd, 3:15 p.m. – Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 were informed that a 7 year old Hispanic boy was sexually assaulted by an older male. The young crime victim was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where he was provided with specialized care. Authorities are looking to question a 64-year-old Hispanic male in connection with the sexual assault.

MON, JULY 6th, 4:40 p.m. – 815 East 152 St. Authorities are looking for two Hispanic males who impersonated police officers. The pair connected a home invasion as they impersonated police officers. None of the victims were injured. However, detectives are looking into the incident.
