Zodiacs track team members head to national competition

Put the Zodiacs in your prayers, so that they may have a safe trip to and from Greeboro, North Carolina with the 19 athletes and families who qualified for the 2009 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships. The competition takes place from July 28 to August 3.

On the weekend of July 25, the Zodiacs competed in The Empire State Track & Field Championships at Queensbury High School. On July 18, they competed in the Metro Track Meet at Roy Wilkens Park in Queens, and won over 30 medals.

To keep your children competing and representing New York and the Bronx in a positive way, they need your financial support. Coaches and staff do not received financial awards. Traveling and uniforms are paid by dues and fundraising. This is a major burden on the parents. It takes a community to raise a child.

Your children will be in good hands with over 30 years of history and experience.
