Dr. Gaetano Perilli, Board Certified in Family Medicine, has been selected to be included in the “Guide To America’s Top Family Doctors 2009” by the Washington, D.C. based research organization Consumers’ Research Council of America. The selection process for the guide is based on a point value system that awards points for education, years in practice and affiliations with professional associations.

‘This is an independent list that recognizes the career and practice of doctors in the entire US,” says Dr. Perilli.

Born in Italy, Dr. Perilli studied and is licensed to practice medicine in Europe and in the US. He was formerly an assistant professor for interns and residents at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital. He has a local practice in Pelham Way, which he has served for over 15 years. He is currently a member of the Medical Board of New York Westchester Square Hospital and is also affiliated with Montefiore, Bronx Lebanon, and Albert Einstein Hospital.

Dr. Perilli’s practice focuses is geriatric care and preventive care, emphasizing routine screenings for men, women, adolescents and children. Routine screenings include, but are not limited to, prostate exams, vaccinations, blood sugar testing (Diabetes Screening), blood pressure monitoring, and sexually transmitted disease testing. On site services include electrocardiograms, blood drawings, urinalysis, pulmonary function testing and pregnancy testing. He speaks English, Italian and Spanish.
