40th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 12:35 a.m. – 300 East 159 St. A young woman ended up on the wrong side of jail bars after being arrested. The 22 year old black woman was arrested and could be facing a year in jail after being found with a 32-caliber pistol.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 2:10 a.m. – 308 East 145 St. Police investigators are looking into a shooting that sent a male to a local hospital. The male victim was suffering from a bullet wound to the leg when he was located by local police officers. Detectives will handle the follow-up inquiry.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 3:30 a.m. – 512 East 146 St. The staff in the emergency room of Lincoln Medical Center treated a teenage male who had been shot. The 16 year old black male was suffering from a wound to the leg when he arrived at the medical facility. Police investigators are looking into the incident.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 4:55 a.m. – 141 Beekman Ave. Responding police officers arriving at the scene of a reported shooting found three victims. The trio, including two black males, and a Hispanic woman, were taken to nearby medical facilities where they were reported to be in stable condition. A crime scene was maintained as a search was conducted for evidence and potential witnesses.

MON, AUG. 17th, 12:25 a.m. – 141 Crimmins Ave. A Latino male ended up in trouble with authorities. The 27 year old man was found in possession of a 380-caliber pistol. The weapon was vouched for future court use.

TUES, AUG. 18th, 1:00 p.m. – 381 East 151 St. Police officers arrested a suspect who was in possession of a semi-automatic pistol. Recovered from the suspect was a 25-caliber pistol.

WED, AUG. 19th, 1:40 a.m. – 281 East 153 St. One more person was arrested by police officers who recovered an additional handgun. This time a 40-caliber semi-automatic pistol was vouched as evidence to help support the arrest.

THURS, AUG. 20th, 11:00 p.m. – Bergen Ave. and East 153 St. An illegal gun was removed from South Bronx streets when a police officer arrested its owner and vouched the weapon. Recovered was a 40-caliber Glock pistol.

FRI, AUG. 21st, 1:15 a.m. – 409 East 146 St. Evidence was recovered by police investigators at the scene of a shooting. The victim, a 16 year old Hispanic male, was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center where he was treated for a wound to the stomach. Local detectives will handle the follow-up inquiry.

FRI, AUG. 21st, 2:30 a.m. – 257 Alexander Ave. A teenage male was arrested when he was found with an unregistered handgun. The 18 year old suspect was in possession of a 25-caliber pistol when taken into custody.

SAT, AUG. 22nd, 3:00 a.m. – Prospect Ave. and East 152 St. Police are looking for the culprit who shot a person. The victim walked into Lincoln Medical Center suffering from a bullet wound to the arm. Police were notified and a patrol team obtained the initiate information so that detectives could conduct the inquiry.

41st PCT.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 12:15 p.m. – 881 East 162 St. A 23 year old male was arrested after he was found with a fully automatic gun. Taken off the street was a Tech-22 which was vouched by the arresting officer. The suspect, Dennis Sanoguet, could face a year in jail if found guilty.

TUES, AUG. 18th, 10:30 p.m. – 515 Truxton Ave. Emergency units responded to a one story building located in the Hunts Point section near Oak Point Ave. An extension was being constructed when two sixty-foot sections of an exterior building wall collapsed. Police and fire personnel conducted searches to ensure that no one was trapped. No serious injuries were reported.

THURS, AUG. 20th, 9:45 p.m. – 1226 Seneca Ave. The owner of a dog was arrested after authorities started to look into an incident where a child was attacked and injured. The dog was removed to a shelter The injured three year old boy was treated at Lincoln Medical Center for lacerations to the head and face areas.

42nd PCT.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 4:30 a.m. – Home St. and Westchester Ave. A 25 year old male required the skills of the St. Barnabas Hospital staff. The man had been stabbed in the left side. Local investigators will handle the inquiry.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 5:50 p.m. – 854 Freeman St. Authorities are looking into a shooting that sent two persons to medical facilities. Both shooting victims were transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and were reported to be in stable condition. Local sleuths will handle the inquiry.

TUES, AUG. 18th, 4:20 p.m. – 1377 Franklin Ave. Additional police officers were deployed into the Morrisiana community to help look for a Hispanic male. The man fled from his home after being prevented from taking his own life. As police officers searched for the man he escaped their dragnet by later on turned himself in at the neighborhood police station. Afterwards, authorities transported the man to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was provided with medical assistance.

TUES, AUG. 18th, 7:20 p.m. – Park Ave. and East 169 St. Emergency Service Squad units responded to assist a 50 year old woman who threatened to take her own life. The woman was threatening to jump onto the tracks of the Metro-North Railroad.

WED, AUG. 19th, 11:20 p.m. – 891 Cauldwell Ave. Authorities are looking into a shooting that sent a Hispanic male to the hospital. The Latino male was suffering from a bullet wound to the stomach area when he arrived at Lincoln Medical Center. Local detectives will handle the follow-up inquiry.

SAT, AUG. 22nd, 6:00 a.m. – 1625 Fulton Ave. City officials armed with a protection order issued by a city agency arrested both parents of an infant. The mother and father were taken into custody by police officers who were assisting officials from the Agency for Children Services. Both parents were charged with obstruction of government administration. The baby was not harmed.

43rd PCT.

MON, AUG. 17th, 3:40 a.m. – 1535 Westchester Ave. Authorities are trying to gather all the facts concerning an incident where two Hispanic males were stabbed. Local detectives will conduct the inquiry.

WED, AUG. 19th, 10:40 a.m. – 1763 Watson Ave. Three persons were arrested as police officers looked into a stabbing. A 27 year old Hispanic male was stabbed during a dispute, but the additional arrests were made as results of cross-complaints.

THURS, AUG. 20th, 12:25 p.m. – 1650 Metropolitan Ave. The victim of a strong armed robbery required medical attention. The male victim was punched by the unidentified culprit who took the victims keys and wallet. The thief fled before help could arrive.

FRI, AUG. 21st, 12:50 p.m. – Leland Ave. and Archer St. Additional police officers were deployed into the community after a male was attached. The victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of a stab wound. The attacker was described as a black male, about five foot 11 inches, heavy set.

SAT, AUG. 22nd, 3:30 a.m. – Randall Ave. and Rosedale Ave. A 29 year old black male was arrested after he was spotted with a gun. Upon checking authorities learned that the man did not have a permit for the gun nor was he weapon registered. The suspect could be facing a year in jail.

44th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 7:20 p.m. – 1085 Nelson Ave. Authorities are looking into a shooting that injured two persons. A black male walked into Bronx Lebanon Hospital seeking assistance for a bullet wound to the leg while the second victim found their way to Harlem Hospital in Manhattan and was treated for a bullet wound to the left arm.

WED, AUG. 19th, 3:35 a.m. – 1370 Clay Ave. A suspect was arrested after three younger children were stabbed. A Hispanic 17-year old male was transported to the police station for questioning as three younger children were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for medical care. The older male was charged with attacking the younger victims.

SAT, AUG. 22nd, 2:10 a.m. – Nelson Ave. and West 165 St. Police investigators are looking into a shooting that occurred in the Highbridge section. A male had been shot in the upper left side. The victim appeared at Lincoln Medical Center looking for medical assistance. Now, local detectives will handle the inquiry.

45th PCT.

TUES, AUG. 18th, 8:55 p.m. – East Tremont Ave. and Schley Ave. Officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad were called to the scene of a vehicle accident. A 44 year old Latino man was killed after being pinned by a vehicle. Apparently the man’s 13 year old son was behind the wheels of the vehicle. The accident is under investigation.

WED, AUG. 19th, 4:30 p.m. – 2865 Roebling Ave. Authorities came to the aid of an emotionally disturbed man. Police received a call that the man was on a building balcony naked. Responding officers were able to gain custody of the man and removed him to an area medical facility for help.

THURS, AUG. 20th, 6:20 a.m. – 2829 Harrington Ave. A search was conducted for a teenager who escaped from city Sheriffs. Local police officers were alerted of the situation and assisted with the search. As the resulted, the 17 year old black male was arrested without any additional problems.

THURS, AUG. 20th, 3:35 a.m. – 3194 Griswold Ave. Authorities conducted a search for the occupant of a motorcycle. The unknown person fired a shot at two males in a black colored vehicle. The bullet missed the occupants, striking the vehicle. The person in the passenger seat received an injury from flying gas. No other injuries were reported

46th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 3:00 a.m. – Clifford Pl. and Walton Ave. A 29 year old black man was incarcerated after being found in possession of an unregistered revolver. Local police officers made the arrest. The suspect, Danny Lester, could be facing a year in jail.

TUES, AUG. 18th, 6:20 a.m. – 2186 Grand Concourse. Authorities were faced with a 41 year old male who held them at bay with a knife. The Hispanic male apparently in an emotional distressed state was in the building’s lobby. Officers from the Emergency Service Squad were summoned where they were faced with a man armed with a knife. The officers used a taser to gain control of the man who was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital for assistance.

WED, AUG. 19th, 1:10 p.m. – 1480 Popham Ave. Authorities took a Hispanic female into custody after she insighted a riot. The incident occurred during a dispute. Responding police officers mace the Latino woman but once inside a police vehicle, the woman kicked out a vehicle window.

SAT, AUG. 22nd, 12:55 a.m. – 1900 Grand Concourse. A young Hispanic male walked into Bronx Lebanon Hospital seeking help. The 20 year old male received treatment for a bullet wound to the hand. Police officers responded to obtain information so that local detectives can conduct the inquiry.

47th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 16th, 9:30 p.m. – 4013 Gunter Ave. Two more handguns were removed from the Baychester community. This time police arrested a 49 year old black male who was in possession of a 9-mm pistol and a 357-caliber revolver. The arrest was made by undercover officers from the Bronx Anti-Crime Unit.

MON, AUG. 17th, 12:35 a.m. – Boston Rd. and Wilson Ave. Police investigators are faced with a homicide. The male victim died within an hour despite the effects of the staff at Jacobi Medical Center to treat the chest wound.

48th PCT.

MON, AUG. 17th, 7:30 p.m. – East 187 St. and Southern Blvd. A 21 year old Hispanic male was arrested after he was found with a 38-caliber hand. The arrest was made by local patrol officers who vouched the unregistered handgun.

49th PCT.

WED, AUG. 19th, 8:30 p.m. – 2445 Williamsbridge Rd. A suspect who was in possession of an unregistered gun ended up being arrested. Recovered by the arresting officer was a 380-caliber weapon.

50th PCT.

WED, AUG. 19th, 5:00 a.m. – 6495 Broadway. Police officers attempted to assist a truck driver. The man in his forties had an accident. The truck struck a few parked vehicles causing damage. Officials learned that the truck drive died at the scene. His body was released to the Medical Examiner’s office so that a cause of the death could be determined. Officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad were summoned to the scene to assist with the inquiry.

52nd PCT.

WED, AUG. 19th, 12:40 a.m. – 3200 Decatur Ave. Police officers assisted a Hispanic man. Apparently the naked man jumped out of a third floor window. He was transported to St Barnabas Hospital and afforded medical care.

THURS, AUG. 20th, 12:10 a.m. – 205 West Fordham Rd. A search was conducted for three males who robbed a parking facility. Armed with guns, the culprits entered a parking garage demanding keys to expensive vehicles and the employee’s money. Beside the vehicle, the crooks made off with eight dollars.

Transit

THURS, AUG. 20th, 9:25 p.m. – Third Ave. and East 138 St. Train traffic was halted on the IRT Pelham Bay line. A person had apparently jumped in front of an approaching train according to officials. Train traffic came to a stop to enable public safety worker a safe zone in order to complete their mission. Police officers were looking to identify the male victim.
