40th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 5:15 p.m. – 594 Union Ave. Police officials were faced with a male who decided to keep authorities at bay with the help of his dog. The male was barricaded inside an apartment, but attempted to have the dog attack the police officers. After a stand-off, police were able to gain custody of the culprit.

MON, AUG. 31st, 6:55 p.m. – 164 Saint Ann’s Ave. Authorities are looking for two males who forced their way into a home. At gunpoint, the two male culprits entered the apartment, gathered up valuables and fled with an unknown amount of cash.

41st PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 8:15 a.m. – 973 Rev. James Polite Ave. Authorities are looking into the untimely death of a two month old Hispanic male infant. The baby was found lying face up in a crib not breathing. The infant, who already had a troublesome medical history, was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center where the staff indicated that the toddler had died.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 6:10 p.m. – Faile St. and Westchester Ave. Police officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad were summoned to the busy intersection after an accident occurred. A motorcycle collided with a vehicle. The accident victim was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center where the person expired.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 11:20 p.m. – Bruckner Blvd. and Longwood Ave. A 58 year old male was fighting for his life at Lincoln Medical Center. The Hispanic male was struck by a vehicle at the hectic intersection that is used to enter the Hunts Point area. Officers from Highway 1’s Accident Investigation Squad will assist with the inquiry.

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 4:25 p.m. – Willis Ave. and East 135 St. A suspect was arrested after taking a swing at a city traffic agent. The agent told the culprit to stop panhandling. Instead, the culprit turned on the city worker attempting to assault the employee.

THURS, SEPT. 3rd, 5:20 a.m. – 894 Rogers Pl. Authorities had the hard job of telling the parents of a one week old baby that the infant had expired. The father found the newborn unconscious in the parent’s bed. Despite effects to assist the baby, the infant had expired shortly after 6 a.m.

42nd PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 11:40 p.m. – East 170 St. and Third Ave. Police sleuths are looking into the death of a 20 year old black male. The male victim had been shot in the head according to investigators.

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 10:25 a.m. – East 165 St. and Cauldwell Ave. Another cab driver was robbed at gunpoint. This time the culprit was described as a black male in his twenties who was armed with a handgun. The thief made off with the victim’s cell phone besides two hundred dollars in cash.

THURS, SEPT. 3rd, 6:10 p.m. – 1199 Fulton Ave. Authorities are looking to question the neighbor of a 69 year old man. The elderly man had been stabbed in the neck apparently by the neighbor. The elderly victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital for medical care in critical condition.

43rd PCT.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 11:40 a.m. – 676 Castle Hill Ave. Another gun was taken out of the Castle Hill community by local police officers. This time a 49 year old black male was arrested by local police officers who recovered and vouched the weapon.

THURS, SEPT. 3rd, 1:35 a.m. – Watson Ave. and Beach Ave. Two Hispanic males were arrested as police recovered another illegal weapon. Taken into possession of law enforcement officials was a Mac-11 gun. The weapon was vouched for future court use.

44th PCT.

MON, AUG. 31st, 1:55 a.m. – Major Deegan Expwy. A motorist was arrested after pulling over the wrong vehicle on the busy interstate roadway. A vehicle used flashing lights and a siren to draw the attention of a northbound traveling motorist. The driver pulled over to the roadside and waited the arrival of a team of real police officers who arrested the impersonator. What the driver did not realize was that the victim was an off duty police officer.

THURS, SEPT. 3rd, 5:00 p.m. – River Ave. and East 151 St. Authorities are looking for the person who took a summons scanner away from a traffic agent. The incident reports have been forwarded to local detectives who will conduct the follow-up inquiry.

FRI, SEPT. 4th, 10:55 p.m. – 1060 Sheridan Ave. A local Anti-Crime police officer arrested a 53 year old black male who was in possession of an unregistered handgun. Taken off the streets of the Morrisiana community was a 32-caliber revolver.

FRI, SEPT. 4th, 11:50 p.m. – 1065 Nelson Ave. A 21 year old man was taken into custody by local police officers. When arrested, the young culprit was in possession of a 40-caliber hand gun.

45th PCT.

MON, AUG. 31st, 8:55 p.m. – Bruckner Blvd. and Westchester Ave. A motorist was arrested after a several block pursuit. The culprit fled from an accident scene and was stopped within a few blocks. Police officers arrested the driver as the victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition.

46th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 4:35 a.m. – East 182 St. and Morris Ave. A search was conducted for a group of Hispanic males whom attacked four other Hispanic males. The four victims were slashed by the unknown Latino attackers who fled toward the Grand Concourse. The injured victims were transported to St. Barnabas Hospital for medical care.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 6:55 p.m. – 144 West Burnside Ave. Investigators are looking into a shooting that sent two males to St. Barnabas Hospital. Both males had been shot, with one suffering from a wound to the back, while the second male was shot in the leg.

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 4:50 a.m. – 54 West 181 St. A 47 year old Hispanic man was treated at Lincoln Medical Center for a broke jaw. The male victim was attacked by four unknown Hispanic males. Detectives are looking into the incident.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 1:20 a.m. – 1962 University Ave. A 29 year old suspect was arrested after he was found with a 22-caliber revolver. Since the male suspect did not possess a license for the weapon, the culprit could be facing a year in jail pending the outcome of his trail.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 11:50 p.m. – 2 East 177 St. Members of the elite Bronx Anti-Crime Unit arrested a teenage male who was illegally in possession of a gun. Taken away from the 17 year old was a 38-caliber revolver.

THURS, SEPT. 3rd, 4:25 a.m. – 100 Field Pl. Authorities are looking into the death of a person who apparently jumped from a building. The injured person was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where officials indicated that the party expired shortly after 5 p.m.

FRI, SEPT. 4th, 1:20 a.m. – 1530 University Ave. Police officers were dispatched after shots rang out in the neighborhood. Arriving officials indicated that no one was reported injured, however there was damage done to a parked vehicle.

FRI, SEPT. 4th, 1:45 a.m. – 1553 University Ave. Undercover police officers from the Borough Anti-Crime Unit arrested an 18 year old Hispanic male. The teen was found along with a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.

FRI, SEPT. 4th, 8:45 p.m. – 270 East Burnside Ave. A 29 year old Hispanic male will be facing a year in jail if he is found guilty in an upcoming legal hearing. The man was nabbed while in possession of a 9-mm pistol.

47th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 2:05 a.m. – 4158 Gunther Ave. Police officers continue to find culprits with illegal weapons in the Baychester community. This time officers removed a 32-caliber revolver from the unnamed suspect.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 6:45 p.m. – 4086 White Plains Rd. A 26 year old black male ended up in jail after being nabbed with an illegal gun. Arrested was Che-kwan Clarke who was nabbed with a 45-calber handgun.

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 1:55 a.m. – Laconia Ave. and East 224 St. The staff in the emergency room of Jacobi Medical Center treated a 16 year old boy The teen was suffering from a grazed wound to the chest and neck area. Now local detectives have the take to locate and arrest the culprit.

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 5:40 p.m. – Paulding Ave. and East 231 St. A 35 year old black male was arrested in the Wakefield area after he was found in possession of an unregistered 9-mm pistol.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 4:50 a.m. – An undercover police officer from the Bronx Gang Squad arrested a teenager. The 19 year old black male was nabbed for illegally possessing a 380-cliber pistol.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 2:20 p.m. – 1015 East 214 St. Additional police officers were deployed into the surrounding area to help search for the person who shot a black male. The victim was suffering from a bullet wound to the left arm when he arrives at the hospital according to officials.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 11:10 p.m. – 737 East 226 St. With the arrest of a 26 year old Hispanic male police officers recovered a 9-mm pistol. The weapon was vouched for future court use by authorities.

48th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 2:15 a.m. – 1110 Wyatt St. Police officers were summoned to a club known as Smitty’s on the belief that a male had been struck by a bullet. Upon examining the teenage victim authorities learned that the 19 year old boy was struck by a wooden fragment after a shot had been fired. The teen suffered an injury to the left arm. An inquiry is underway.

MON, AUG. 31st, 1:55 p.m. – 2070 Clinton Ave. A search was conducted for a black male who forced his way into a home. The unidentified male culprit pushed into a home taking the victim’s wallet and cash. The occupant was injured during the robbery and required medical attention which was provided at St. Barnabas Hospital.

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 10:00 a.m. – 2239 Adams Pl. A 21 year old Hispanic male was rushed to near-by St. Barnabas Hospital. Emergency room staff treated the young man who had been slashed in the throat area by two males. Police did arrest two suspects. However, the victim was reported to be in serious but stable condition.

49th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 4:15 p.m. – Rhinelander Ave. and Wallace Ave. Police arrested a suspect after a person was attacked with a box cutter. The injured victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center for emergency medical care.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 10:45 p.m. – 1216 Burke Ave. Authorities are looking into a shooting. A male victim was apparently shot in the head. The injured man was found on the roof of a building according to officials. Detectives are looking into the incident.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 3:30 a.m. – 2819 Boston Rd. Emergency units personnel came to the aid of an off duty police officer. The off duty Transit Police Officer received a fracture leg while riding a motorcycle. The two wheel vehicle was involved in a crash. The staff at Jacobi Medical Center treated the injured officer for a fracture to the left leg.

FRI, SEPT. 4th, 3:40 p.m. – 1803 Williamsbridge Rd. Local police officers were summoned to assist a traffic agent. The city worker was pushed by a motorist while trying to issuing a summons. The motorist is subject to arrest based on recent changes in the laws concerning assaults on traffic agents while on duty.

52nd PCT.

SUN, AUG. 30th, 7:20 a.m. – 2704 Decatur Ave. The staff at St. Barnabas Hospital treated a 20 year old Hispanic male. The Latino male had been stabbed once in the right leg. A search of the area was conducted of the area for the attacker, who had fled. Now, local detectives will continue with the inquiry.

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 4:30 a.m. – 111 East 210 St. A 20 year old male walked into a neighborhood hospital seeking assistance after being attacked near the medical facility. The Latino male was stabbed once in the right arm and twice in the back. The attackers made off with the victim’s jewelry and some other property.

WED, SEPT. 2nd, 6:15 p.m. – 54 Evelyn Pl. Police officers nabbed a 20 year old black male who was in possession of an illegal weapon. This time a sawed off shotgun was removed from the West Bronx streets.

Transit

TUES, SEPT. 1st, 9:55 a.m. – White Plains Rd. and Bronx Park East. Armed with a gun, a black male robbed a victim of an electronic device at the IRT Number 2 line station. Additional police officers were deployed into the area including police officers from Transit District # 12 to help search for the culprit. The victim escaped injury.

Fire Log

SUN, AUG. 30th, 8:56 a.m. – 4036 White Plains Rd. Within three minutes fire-fighters started to arrive at a two story building used as a church near East 227 St. Smoke was visible so a hose line was quickly stretched and placed into operation as additional firefighters arrived. By 9:17 a.m. the 7th Division declared the fire in a house of worship under control. Ladder crews continued to check for an indication of hidden pockets of fire that were quickly extinguished by the engine crews.

MON, AUG. 31st, 10:27 a.m. – 2552 Webb Ave. Fire on the roof of a residential building under construction was extinguished by local firefighters. The blaze near West Kingsbridge Rd. caused injury to two of the smoke-eaters. Within an hour most of the apparatus left the scene after the incident was brought under control.
