THURS, JAN. 1st, 4:30 a.m. – 2505 Third Ave. Police arrested a 21-year-old woman after she was found to be in possession of an unregistered 9-mm pistol. Shateesha Holeone could face a year in jail if she is found guilty during a court hearing.
41st PCT.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 6:00 p.m. – 1142 East 165 St. Officers from the Emergency Service Squad were needed to help gain control of an emotionally disturbed man. The 21-year-old Hispanic male decided to barricade himself inside an apartment. After a while the Emergency Service officers tasered the male before he was able to hurt himself or anyone else.
SUN, JAN. 4th, 4:30 a.m. – Prospect Ave. and East 163 St. Detectives are looking into a shooting. Investigators were informed that a black male had been shot in the leg. The victim was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where he received treatment for the bullet wound. Meanwhile investigators are looking for witnesses to the incident.
43rd PCT.
THURS, JAN. 1st, 12:05 a.m. – 1810 Lafayette Ave. Authorities are looking into an incident where police officers were fired upon. Additional police officers responded to the location including detectives who are now conducting an inquiry. None of the police officers were injured.
44th PCT.
WED, DEC. 31st, 11:15 a.m. – Jerome Ave. and 170 St. Police came to the aid of a traffic agent. The agent was being harassed by a motorist after issuing a summons.
WED, DEC. 31st, 4:20 p.m. – 1310 Sheridan Ave. Police recovered two more handguns as they took a suspect into custody. Local undercover officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Unit made the arrest recovering a 38-caliber revolver besides a 357-caliber pistol.
TUES, JAN. 6th, 9:55 a.m. – 964 Morris Ave. Two culprits attacked and stabbed the unidentified victim. The injured victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center where he was treated for the stab wound. Detectives responded to see if they could obtain information about the attack and also to help search for the culprits.

WED, DEC. 31st, 11:30 a.m. – 2021 Bartow Ave. A suspect was arrested after authorities were alerted that a bank was being robbed. The suspect passed a note to an employee of the Immigrant Bank demanding money.
46th PCT.
WED, DEC. 31st, 1:25 p.m. – 5 West Burnside Ave. An unidentified person robbed a local bank. The thief passed a note to a teller demanding money. The culprit was given $200 before fleeing. No injuries were reported.
THURS, JAN. 1st, 12:10 a.m. – West Tremont Ave. and Phelan Pl. Local patrol officers arrested a suspect who was in possession of an illegal weapon. The gun was vouched as the culprit was being booked.
THURS, JAN. 1st, 1:05 a.m. – 1905 Andrews Ave. A 21-year-old Hispanic male started the New Year off by being arrested. The male culprit was found in possession of an illegal handgun. Recovered by police was a 38-caliber pistol. An older Latino male was also arrested after he was found with a 40-caliber pistol.
THURS, JAN. 1st, 8:55 a.m. – East 184 St. and Creston Ave. A patrol officer arrested a 36-year-old Hispanic man after the male was found with an illegal handgun. Recovered by police was a 357-caliber pistol.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 3:45 a.m. – 2323 Creston Ave. Police recovered another illegal weapon. This time a 380-caliber semi-automatic pistol was removed from the street.
SUN, JAN. 4th, 6:45 p.m. – 1535 Undercliff Ave. The emergency room staff at St. Barnabas Hospital treated an 18-year-old Hispanic male for two bullet wounds. The Latino teen was taken to the hospital suffering from the two wounds to the torso area. Authorities are hoping that the teen, who is reported in stable condition, will be able to provide information about the incident.
MON, JAN. 5th, 7:25 p.m. – Morris Ave. and Grand Concourse. A 22-caliber pistol was taken off of local streets by an under cover police officer. The officer nabbed the suspect who could be facing a year in jail if found guilty.
TUES, JAN. 6th, 2:05 p.m. – 40 Richmond Plaza. A 15-year-old boy was arrested after police found him with a handgun. The Hispanic teen was in possession of a 22-caliber pistol.
TUES, JAN. 6th, 5:45 p.m. – 2427 Webster Ave. Two more handguns were vouched by local police officers. Authorities nabbed two Hispanic males who were in possession of a 22-caliber and a 380-caliber handgun.
47th PCT.
THURS, JAN. 1st, 12:20 a.m. – 3460 Wilson Ave. Patrol officers arrested the owner of a semi-automatic pistol. The vouched 45 caliber pistol will be used in the pending court case as evidence.
FRI, JAN. 2nd, 7:50 p.m. – 723 East 213 St. Authorities are looking into a shooting where a female was shot in the chest. The victim was removed to Jacobi Medical Center for immediate treatment. Detectives from the Laconia Ave. station are handling the inquiry.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 1:40 a.m. – 4016 Carpenter Ave. A suspect was arrested as police vouched an illegal 32-caliber pistol that was found with the culprit.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 8:50 p.m. – 725 East 233 St. A search is underway for the persons who broke into a bank. Officials believe that a homeless person might have broken a door window permitting them to have limited access to the building. The area was ransacked, officials reported but nothing was reported missing. The inquiry is underway by local sleuths.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 10:40 p.m. – White Plains Rd. and East 234 St. A double shooting caused serious injury to both victims. A male suffering from a bullet wound walked into Montifiore Hospital looking for medical attention. As the staff started to treat the man police were summoned to the facility. Meanwhile, the second victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center suffering from a bullet wound to the facial area. Local detectives are handling the inquiry.
MON, JAN. 5th, 4:15 p.m. – 3209 Wallace Ave. Police discovered the body of a 54-year-old man. Officials indicated that the death was not deemed suspicious.
TUES, JAN. 6th, 1:45 a.m. – Bronx Blvd. and East 237 St. Police took five persons into custody after they found an illegal firearm in their possession. Recovered from the group was a 9-mm semi-automatic handgun.

THURS, JAN. 1st, 7:35 a.m. – 2343 Arthur Ave. Authorities are looking into a reported stabbing. A female victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital for medical care after being attacked.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 1:35 p.m. – 690 East 189 St. A 38 year old Latino man appeared at Jacobi Medical Center seeking help. The man, hospital officials learned was suffering from a stab wound to the lower back. Police were summoned to the hospital to obtain information about the incident and an inquiry got underway.
TUES, JAN. 6th, 7:05 p.m. – 4278 Third Ave. A city worker was arrested by local police officers. The city employee, a member of the agency for Child Services, was charged with smoking marijuana in a vehicle.

SAT, JAN. 3rd, 3:50 a.m. – 2100 Eastchester Rd. A city worker was injured outside a local bar. The government employee was transported to Jacobi Medical Center suffering from a slash wound. Police are investigating.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 10:20 p.m. – 2055 Cruger Ave. Authorities are looking into a home invasion. Two males apparently followed the victim home. They pushed their way into the home, pistol-whipping the victim before fleeing. It was not immediately known what was taken during the robbery.
MON, JAN. 5th, 3:00 p.m. – 2939 Bronxwood Ave. A 78-year-old man was arrested for menacing a traffic agent. Taken into custody was a retired corrections officer.
TUES, JAN. 6th, 11:25 p.m. – 1067 Sacket Ave. Down power lines caused a electrical outage on the entire block. Emergency units responded and summoned Con Edison crews to the scene so that repairs could start.

MON, JAN. 5th, 8:05 a.m. – 3450 Kingsbridge Ave. Detectives looking into a case arrested a 58-year-old man at the police station who was in possession of a 45-caliber pistol.
52nd PCT.
WED, DEC. 31st, 3:20 p.m. – 257 East Fordham Rd. A search was conducted for the person who robbed a local bank. A note was passed to a bank employee, but the thief fled empty handed.
THURS, JAN. 1st, 4:20 a.m. – 2600 Briggs Ave. Responding police officers started to gather information about a shooting. A male had been shot in the leg officers recorded. The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
THURS, JAN. 1st, 1:30 p.m. – 1 East 198 St. Additional police officers were deployed into the Bedford Park – Kingsbridge communities to help locate an 18-year-old Hispanic male teen. As police officers fanned out into the various communities looking for the teen they checked the local parks and train stations beside area buildings. The boy was last scene at a relative’s home.
FRI, JAN. 2nd, 6:30 p.m. – 16 East 196 St. Police are looking for a Hispanic male who robbed a salon. At gunpoint the unidentified culprit walked into the store taking a thousand dollars from the cash register. Upon exiting the store the culprit took the handbags belonging to the workers. He escaped prior to police being called.
MON, JAN. 5th, 4:20 a.m. – 205 West Fordham Rd. Authorities were notified that an armed robbery occurred at a parking garage. Three unknown males entered the facility striking a worker in the head with a handgun. The culprits fled with $800 in cash besides a mini-van. The injured worker was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital for medical care.
Housing
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 10:25 a.m. – 556 Morris Ave. The staff at Lincoln Medical Center treated a 45-year-old Hispanic male. The man was slashed in the back according to officials. One suspect was arrested as detectives continue their inquiry. Officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 are working with the members of the 40th Pct. Detective Squad on the inquiry.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 3:45 p.m. – 1285 Washington Ave. Authorities are looking for the person who shot a 28-year-old male in the right leg. The young man was admitted to St. Barnabas Hospital as additional police officers were deployed into the area. Detectives from the 42nd Pct. Squad are receiving assistance from police officers of Housing’s PSA # 7 on this incident.
Fire Log
THURS, JAN. 1st, 9:15 a.m. – 1710 Andrews Ave. A fire in a six-story high apartment building caused injury to two of the residents besides two of their rescuers. It took over 30 minutes to extinguish the 2nd floor blaze. Officials indicated that the fire was not suspicious.
FRI, JAN. 2nd, 3:30 a.m. – 1080 Intervale Ave. A suspicious fire injured four persons including two firefighters. Two of the building occupants were treated at Jacobi Medical Center for smoke inhalation. The firefighters were reported suffering from back and wrist pains from injuries received during the two-alarm blaze that damaged a three-story dwelling. The fire was declared under control at 4:50 a.m.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 5:00 a.m. – 1728 Van Buren St. Red Cross workers assisted members of a family who lost their home to a quick spreading fire. The blaze went to two alarms before it was declared under control. One person was reported suffering from smoke inhalation.
SAT, JAN. 3rd, 9:15 a.m. – 302 East 206th Street. A fire was detected in the basement of a church near Bainbridge Ave. Battalion 27 commanded the operations that saw the blaze totally extinguished in a little more then 30 minutes by the crews of nine units. Six firefighters required medical attention.
SUN, JAN. 4th, 4:55 a.m. – 2769 Mickle Ave. A mattress fire sent one of the building occupants to a local hospital. Battalion 20 commanded the operation on the second floor of the three- story dwelling.
MON, JAN. 5th, 1:29 a.m. – 250 Spencer Pl. A fire ripped through a residential building in the northern community of Riverdale, a short distance from the City of Yonkers. Firefighters from several stations battled the fire before it was totally out.
MON, JAN. 5th, 8:34 a.m. – 1246 Crosby Ave. One person was treated by an ambulance crew at the scene of a working fire in the Pelham Bay section. The kitchen blaze was in a three story dwelling according to Battalion 20 who commanded the extinguishment operation. The incident was placed under control shortly after 9 a.m.
MON, JAN. 5th, 9:43 p.m. – 2554 Creston Ave. A fire in a 4th floor kitchen sent two people to the hospital. Local firefighters responded to the five-story dwelling located near East 192 St. Hose lines were stretched and ladder crews went about their duties searching and venting the building. Within 20 minutes the fire was totally extinguished and the ambulance crews were treated the injured residents.
TUES, JAN. 6th, 3:50 a.m. – Schofield St. and City Island Ave. Two residents were injured in a rapid spreading fire. The blaze totally damaged a wooden structure that housed residential apartments on the second floor and commercial tenants on the street level. Those who were injured were suffering from smoke inhalation. The fire was contained due to the closeness to the local firehouse that hoses Engine 70 and Ladder 53. It took not only the local fire fighters, but over 60 other firefighters two hours to bring the inferno under control.
