Just A Comment

We mourn the loss of a fellow Bronxite and U.S. Marine who was the first KIA for the year 2009, bringing to 200 the total of armed services members killed from the State of New York. What will be a fitting tribute? Will the gratitude of freedom-loving people be sufficient? There will be the usual ceremony in the Bronx, with two minutes of news coverage. Will a good Legion turnout to help this kid’s family? I use the term kid because he was far too young to be lost  in this generation’s Vietnam. Are we too old to make a difference? Semper Fi and a hand salute to him and our other 200 buddies.
