On Wednesday, October 14, a fire destroyed the apartment that Gina and Peter Garibaldi were renting in Spencer Estate. The fire was particularly devastating to the Garibaldi family because they are caring for their three children, all under the age of three, with Cystic Fibrosis.
On Monday, November 9, a “kiddie benefit” with musical performance by Zev Haber was held for them at the parenting center at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Director Denise Matranga said 42 families attended the event, and many others made donations.
