First Friday at Bartow-Pell

The Bartow-Pell Maniosn Museum, 895 Shore Road, Pelham Bay Park, presents First Fridays!

Friday, December 4, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Experience the magic of the mansion at night—by candlelight—decorated for the holidays. Christmas trees inspired by the Nutcracker adorn rooms throughout the mansion. Tours by costumed docents highlight 19th-century holiday traditions. Do a little shopping at the Holiday Boutique. Light refreshments served. The free Bronx Seaside Trolley makes a continuous loop from Pelham Bay Park #6 subway station to Bartow-Pell to City Island. Saturday, December 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Annual Winter Family Day: Puppet shows 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Wagon rides noon to2 p.m. Photos with Santa 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Holiday spirit abounds during this fun-filled day. Children delight in puppet shows by Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater, horse-drawn wagon rides, photographs with Santa Claus (additional fee), a holiday boutique, and more. Admission Puppet Show $20 children 3 to 17, free for adults and children under 3. Hayrides $5 children and adults. Space is limited for puppet show; registration requested. Call (718) 885.1461.

Saturday, December 12, and Sunday, December 13, 1 and 3 p.m.: Music for St. Nicholas: The Bronx Arts Ensemble and Singers present a wonderful holiday concert with music for St. Nicholas. Four performances. Concert is free, but space is limited and tickets are required. Call Bronx Arts Ensemble at (718) 601-7399 for tickets.
