Joseph Kelleher, executive director of Leasing and Property Management for the Hutchinson Metro Center office complex, has been elected chairman of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce.
Kelleher, who previously served as president of the Chamber, succeeds long-time chamber founder and chairman Elias Karmon, who passed away last October at the age of 98. Chamber CEO Lenny Caro will now serve as president and CEO of the organization.
At the Hutchinson Metro Center, Kelleher is responsible for overseeing the leasing and management of the highly successful office complex which is located in Pelham Bay. He joined the Hutchinson Metro Center six years ago at the project’s inception.
Before joining the Hutchinson Metro Center, Kelleher served as director of Property Management for Winoker Realty Corp. He began his real estate career in the Real Estate Division of NYNEX where he was property manager for the Corporate Headquarters Building located at 1095 Avenue of Americas. Kelleher has served on the Executive Board of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce as treasurer and vice president since 2004. Also, he is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Organization (BOMA) as well as the Bronx- Manhattan Association of Realtors, Inc.
He resides in Katonah, NY.
The Hutchinson Metro Center is a 42-acre office campus located directly off the Hutchinson River Parkway. The first phase of 460,000 square feet, which is fully leased and occupied, features a wide array of first-class amenities including a full service Metro Café with Cyber Lounge, fitness center, state-of-the-art teleconferencing center, on-site child care facility, attended gatehouse with 24/7 security, landscaped courtyards with gardens and seating/dining areas, ATM, dry cleaners, sundry shop and complimentary shuttle service to nearby subway.
