SUN, FEB. 15th, 12:55 a.m. – Cypress Ave. and East 136 St. Police took a gun away from a 20-year-old black woman. The unregistered weapon was vouched as evidence for her pending court appearence. Recovered by patrol officers was a 380-caliber pistol.
TUES, FEB. 17th, 4:50 p.m. – 479 East 138 St. Authorities are looking for the person who stabbed a male twice. The victim was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where he received medical attention for his two wounds.
41st PCT.
TUES, FEB. 17th, 4:25 a.m. – 941 Rogers Pl. The driver of a livery cab was shot during a car-jacking robbery. The driver was shot on the left side of the neck. The emergency room staff at Lincoln Medical Center treated the injured male victim. Meanwhile police started to search for two black males who drove away in the victim’s livery cab.
42nd PCT.
WED, FEB. 11th, 10:30 p.m. – 660 East 166 St. Three more persons were taken into custody by under cover police officers. The trio was grabbed along with an illegal 45-caliber pistol. The weapon was vouched as evidence for their court appearance.
SAT, FEB. 14th, 3:30 a.m. – 1368 Webster Ave. Police arrested a suspect after found in possession of a semi-automatic pistol. Recovered by authorities was a 9-mm handgun.
SUN, FEB. 15th, 10:25 p.m. – East 173 St. and Southern Blvd. Police resources broke up a fight between two groups By the time authorities learned of the situation, one person had been stabbed three times in the back, another person was suffering from a broken leg, while a third victim was treated for slash wounds. St. Barnabas Hospital treated the three injured persons.
43rd PCT.
THURS, FEB. 12th, 3:15 p.m. – Castle Hill Ave. and Parker St. Local police requested the services of the highly armed Emergency Service Squad and a bloodhound to help capture the occupants of a stolen vehicle. Authorities indicated that the occupants might have been armed. Three bystanders received minor injuries during the pursuit authorities indicated.
FRI, FEB. 13th, 8:05 a.m. – White Plains Rd. and Lafayette Ave. A young male was transported to Jacobi Medical Center after being attacked. Medical experts indicated that the 20-year-old male victim had been stabbed with a wound in the chest area. Despite their effects, the young man expired shortly before 10 a.m. A suspect has been arrested shortly after the attack took place.
SAT, FEB. 14th, 5:20 p.m. – 1801 Archer St. Police were gathering information about a suspect in a double shooting. Two males were taken to Jacobi Medical Center after being shot apparently by a third male. Both victims were determined to be in serious but stable condition after receiving medical care. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the county, the staff at St. Barnabas Hospital started to treat an 18-year-old Hispanic male who had been shot in the chest. The teen appeared at the hospital on his own seeking help. Police were alerted and some of the pieces of the incident started to fall into place. The teen was admitted in critical condition to the medical facility as police arrested him for the double shooting.
MON, FEB. 16th, 2:15 a.m. – 1897 Guerlain St. The staff at Lincoln Medical Center treated a black male who had been shot in the arm. The victim was reported in stable condition. Investigators are looking into the incident.
MON, FEB. 16th, 9:00 p.m. – 1861 Bruckner Blvd. A search by police for two Latino females was conducted. The pair apparently pushed a person to the ground before the female victim pocket book was stolen.
45th PCT.
WED, FEB. 11th, 2:15 p.m. – 150 Drieser Loop. An under cover police officer on patrol in the Co-op City community arrested a suspect for illegal possession of a gun. Recovered by a Bronx Anti-crime officer was a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.
THURS, FEB. 12th, 10:30 a.m. – Throggs Neck Bridge. Traffic on the East River span came to a halt because high winds might have been the reason why a tractor-trailer overturn on the Queens bound lanes. Bridge officials halted all traffic in both directions until conditions improved and the truck was removed from the span.
FRI, FEB. 13th, 3:40 p.m. – 650 Hollywood Ave. Police officers came to the assistance of a school safety officer at I.S. # 192. The city worker was transported to Einstein Hospital suffering from chest pains.
SAT, FEB. 14th, 10:30 a.m. – 120 Aldrich St. A search was conducted for two black male who were dressed as Fed Ex workers in the Co-op City community. The unknown armed pair pushed in the apartment door. Once inside they secured two thirty-year old occupants. Taken in the robbery was thirty-five hundred dollars in cash besides an unknown amount of money.
TUES, FEB. 17th, 10:15 a.m. – 3101 Westchester Ave. A traffic agent was injured after being attacked by a motorist in the Pelham Bay section. The city worker was issuing a parking summons for a violation concerning illegal parking in a bus stop. Using force, the motorist took the electronic ticket writer away from the enforcement officer. The writer was thrown to the ground, also damaging city property. The officer received an injury to the right hand and was treated for same.

THURS, FEB. 12th, 5:00 p.m. – Davidson Ave. and West 181 St. Another teenager landed in jail after being found with a gun. The 18-year-old black male was in possession of a semi-automatic pistol authorities indicated. He could face a year in jail if convicted.
SAT, FEB. 14th, 9:40 p.m. – 2314 Valentine Ave. Authorities are looking for four Hispanic males. The group forced their way into a home. During the robbery they gathered two thousand dollars and fled prior to police being alerted.
SUN, FEB. 15th, 6:05 p.m. – 2240 Grand Concourse. A five-month-old baby was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital after found not breathing. The infant died, but officials indicated that the death was not suspicious.
MON, FEB. 16th, 7:10 p.m. – 171 West Burnside Ave. Authorities are looking into a double shooting. One of the persons died as the apparent results of being shot, while the second person was treated for a chest wound at St. Barnabas Hospital. The shooting was the results of a dispute officials indicate. The investigation is ongoing.
47th PCT.
THURS, FEB. 12th, 7:45 p.m. – 3574 Paulding Ave. A 22-year-old black male ended up in trouble with the law. The suspect was arrested when he was found in possession of a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.
FRI, FEB. 13th, 10:00 p.m. – East 220 St. and White Plains Rd. Another 9-mm semi-automatic pistol ended up being vouched by police. Local police arrested a suspect who was in possession of the handgun.
SAT, FEB. 14th, 6:25 p.m. – 3360 Boston Rd. Police are looking for two unidentified culprits who robbed a commercial establishment along the busy street. Displaying a handgun, the criminal team was given three hundred dollars in cash before fleeing. A search of the area was conducted by authorities came up empty handed.
TUES, FEB. 17th, 1:45 a.m. – East 225 St. and White Plains Rd. Patrol officers arrested a 26-year-old black male after he was found to be in possession of a 45-caliber pistol.
TUES, FEB. 17th, 3:05 p.m. – 3041 Boston Rd. A hand-grenade was found inside a used vehicle. The vehicle was sitting on a previous owned car dealership lot waiting to be sold. Police were summoned to the scene & it was determined that the device was a simulator.
48th PCT.
WED, FEB. 11th, 4:25 a.m. – East 187 St. and Arthur Ave. A 17-year-old Hispanic male was arrested in the Belmont community. The teen was arrested after an illegal gun was found in his possession. Recovered and vouched was a 22-caliber revolver.
WED, FEB. 11th, 2:20 p.m. – 505 East 184 St. Police officials were faced with another standoff. Local police officers secured the area as specially trained officers from the elite Emergency Service Squad attempted to gain control of the situation. Other specialized police units were requested to assist including expects from the Hostage Negotiation Team and the Technical Assistance and Response Unit. The suspect was wanted for menacing a city worker from the Agency for Child Services. Authorities indicated that two suspects were arrested at the end of the standoff. Ambulance crews treated both persons after they were taken into custody.
THURS, FEB. 12th, 11:35 a.m. – 1111 East 177 St. Detectives are looking into an armed robbery of a home. The culprits were described as four males wearing dark colored clothing. They entered the home at gunpoint and fled with six thousand dollars in cash.
FRI, FEB. 13th, 4:20 a.m. – 2325 Arthur Ave. A teenager lost his life in an accident officials reported. The 19 year old apparently slipped and fell from a fire escape. Despite medical effects to assist the teen, officials at St. Barnabas Hospital indicated that the teen expired.
MON, FEB. 16th, 10:00 p.m. – 2070 Clinton Ave. Authorities are looking for the culprit who forced their way into a home in the Tremont section. The victim was grabbed from the rear. Once inside the home, a search was conducted for valuables including cash. After conducting a search, the thief fled empty handed.
49th PCT.
WED, FEB. 11th, 9:00 a.m. – East Gun Hill Rd. and Dewitt Pl. A search was conducted for a male who robbed a local store. Additional police officers were sent into the community after the thief shot two victims. A woman was suffering from a bullet wound to the right arm while a male had a bullet wound to the back. Both victims were treated at the scene prior to being transported to Jacobi Medical Center. Police officers from Transit District #12 were alerted to the incident after on scene officials were informed that the culprit might have fled on a train along the Dyre Ave. IRT line.
FRI, FEB. 13th, 1:35 p.m. – 2239 Lodovick Ave. Wearing equipment from one of our local utility companies, at gunpoint, two black males gained entry into a home. A 21-year-old male was locked in a basement bathroom as the two culprits searched the home. They fled with an unknown amount of money and other property.
SAT, FEB. 14th, 8:15 a.m. – 1024 Morris Park Ave. Authorities came to the assistance of a Sanitation worker. The city employee was in the process of issuing a summons to a vehicle. The motorist appeared and refused to wait for the completed summons. Instead, driving off, the vehicle ran over the Sanitation worker’s foot. The injured worker was transported to Jacobi Medical Center with a toe injury.
50th PCT.
THURS, FEB. 12th, 8:10 a.m. – 5210 Broadway. 5210 Broadway. Police were alerted that there was a trail of blood in the along a stairway. Responding police officers followed the trail discovering that it was not caused by a criminal act. The person had cut their hand and was transported to a local hospital for assistance.
FRI, FEB. 13th, 5:05 p.m. – 2855 Clafin Ave. Emergency crews responded to a call that indicated that a 22-mothold Hispanic baby boy was not breathing. The infant was transported to North Central Bronx Hospital where the infant passed away around 6:40 p.m. despite medical assistance. Officials indicated that the incident is not suspicious.
FRI, FEB. 13th, 9:30 p.m. – Goodridge Ave. Detectives are looking into a burglary of a house that is up for sale. Reported missing from the Riverdale home are five paintings, one Russian painting alone has a value of sixty thousand dollar, forty thousand dollars worth of jewels, besides a 42-inch plasma TV. It’s unknown if other items were taken from the home.
MON, FEB. 16th, 3:30 p.m. – 2840 Bailey Ave. Police recovered a gun, but authorities are puzzled because they do not know who was in possession of the weapon.
52nd PCT.
SAT, FEB. 14th, 5:45 a.m. – Decatur Ave. and East 207 St. Authorities are looking into the death of a 40-year-old Caucasian male. Officials indicated that the man had been murdered. At first it looked as if the victim had been beaten about the head area, but later on the Medical Examiner indicated that the victim had been shot several in the head. The inquiry is on going.
SUN, FEB. 15th, 3:40 a.m. – Valentine Ave. and East 204 St. Law enforcement officials are looking into the knifepoint robbery of a parking lot attendant. The armed thief made off with an unknown amount of money, but the victim escaped injury.
Housing
WED, FEB. 11th, 9:15 p.m. – 585 East 137 St. Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 arrested two persons when they recovered an unregistered 380-caliber pistol.
THURS, FEB. 12th, 6:00 p.m. – 1670 Seward Ave. A search was conducted for the culprits who robbed and assaulted a city worker. The victim was on duty when three culprits attacked the worker. The crime victim received medical care before being released from a local hospital.
SUN, FEB. 15th, 2:20 a.m. – 635 Castle Hill Ave. A suspect was arrested by a police officer from Housing’s PSA # 8. The officer nabbed the suspect along with an illegal handgun.
