Cash Prizes Offered in Pro-Life Speech Contest For High School Juniors and Seniors

The Bronx Right-to-Life Committee is offering cash prizes in its Annual Pro-Life Speech Contest.The competition will be held at St. Margaret of Cortona Church Rectory meeting room at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 20.

The contest is open to high school juniors and seniors.Cash prizes of $500, $100, and $50 will be awarded to the top three finishers, respectively.The deadline for entries is approaching:written submissions should be sent to Bronx Right-to-Life Committee, at P.O. Box 95, Bronx, NY, by March 12.

“We encourage all Bronx juniors and seniors to take advantage of this opportunity to win cash prizes, while researching and writing a presentation. The speech must be five to seven minutes in length when delivered,” said Barbara Meara, chairwoman of the committee. Contestants will discuss one of the following topics from the pro-life viewpoint: abortion, euthanasia, infanticide or stem cell research.
