40th PCT.

THURS, DEC. 31st, 10:20 a.m. – 220 East 134 St. Authorities are looking into a bias incident. The owner of a business found flyers hanging on the building housing his business that contained bias tones. Local police alerted the specially trained investigators from the Bias Squad to the incident.

THURS, DEC. 31st, 10:05 p.m. – 550 Cauldwell Ave. Police are looking into an incident where two males were shot. Gunfire broke the evening silence with bullets striking two victims. One victim was reported to be fighting for his life at Lincoln Medical Center. The 27 year old male had been struck several times by the bullets including in the head area. An 18 year old male was also injured, but was reported to be in stable condition. Local investigators will handle the inquiry.

SAT, JAN. 2nd, 5:50 p.m. – 540 Jackson Ave. Five males invaded an apartment after pushing their way into the home that was occupied by two Hispanic females. The five males, one black and four Latino, at gunpoint forced their way into the abode. One of the occupants received a laceration to the arm and forehead. The culprits fled with the victim’s wallets and cell phones.

42nd PCT.

TUES, DEC. 29th, 7:45 p.m. – East 170 St. and Crotona Ave. Two males were arrested after authorities removed a 45-caliber semi-automatic pistol from their control. The gun was vouched so that it can be used as evidence in their pending court hearing. The arrest was made by a local anti-crime police officer.

TUES, DEC. 29th, 9:05 p.m. – 615 East 168 St. Local detectives are involved in trying to solve a homicide. A Hispanic male was shot once in the chest area and then again in the abdomen. The victim was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where he expired some 90 minutes later on.

WED, DEC. 30th, 1:30 a.m. – 997 Brook Ave. A male suspect was arrested by police for possession of stolen property, but additional charged were added as the investigation got underway. The male culprit was also charged with rape as result of the inquiry. When arrested and charged with grand larceny auto, the culprit was in the company of a 14 year old girl. The inquiry is ongoing.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 12:01 a.m. – 1301 Boston Rd. A 15 year old boy was the first person to be arrested in the Bronx for the New Year for possessing an unregistered gun. The black teen was found to have a 32-caliber revolver when he was arrested by patrol officers.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 7:05 a.m. – Webster Ave. and East 171 St. A 32 year old Hispanic male was shot once officials indicated. The man was treated at Bronx Lebanon Hospital for a bullet wound to the right thigh.

SAT, JAN. 2nd, 1:30 a.m. – 1138 Longfellow Ave. An undercover police officer arrested 20 year old Manuel Moye after the young man was found with a 25-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 12:10 a.m. – 817 East 167 St. Authorities are looking into a reported home invasion. At gunpoint the victim was forced into the apartment. The unknown culprit fled with less then five hundred dollars.

43rd PCT.

TUES, DEC. 29th, 1:45 p.m. – 1200 Commerce Ave. Police officers were alerted that a body was floating in Westchester Creek. With assistance of Emergency Service Squad officers the body that was floating face down in the water was removed and released to the Medical Examiner’s office so that an autopsy could be performed.

THURS, DEC. 31st, 1:35 a.m. – Story Ave. and Elder Ave. In the Sound View community, police arrested a 23 year old black male who was in possession of an unregistered handgun. This time a 22-caliber handgun was recovered and vouched by police as evidence.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 4:30 a.m. – 2090 Home Ave. Arriving police officers were informed that several gun shots were heard. While searching the area, the police officers recovered evidence to indicate that four shots had been fired. There was no report of any injuries.

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 1:10 a.m. – 2145 Starling Ave. A 45 year old Hispanic male was transported to Jacobi Medical Center. The male victim was treated for a stab wound to the neck. Now detectives have the task to find the culprit.

44th PCT.

WED, DEC. 30th, 3:55 p.m. – Plimpton Ave. and Edward L. Grant Hwy. A city worker was arrested after assaulting an older man. The 52 year old Hispanic male, a city bus driver, was charged with punching a 53 year old black male in the face. The culprit was arrested while the injured man was treated at Bronx Lebanon Hospital for the facial injury.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 7:20 p.m. – Sheridan Ave. and East 172 St. A 38 year old black male was arrested after he was found with a 357-caliber magnum revolver. The man can be facing a year in jail for failure to have a carry permit for the handgun.

MON, JAN. 4th, 6:10 p.m. – 188 East 167 St. Police conducted a search for a four year old boy. The young child left a check cashing store on his own causing alarm. Police officers fanned out to the community to search for the child. Afterwards, the 4-year old was safely found at his babysitter’s home.

45th PCT.

TUES, DEC. 29th, 12:05 a.m. – Bruckner Blvd. and Baisley Ave. A vehicle accident remains under investigation that claimed the life of a 12 year old girl. Despite effects to assist the young victim, she expired at Jacobi Medical Center a hour after the tragic mishap. Investigators are attempting to obtain all the facts about the accident in case an arrest is warranted.

TUES, DEC. 29th, 1:05 a.m. – 2900 East Tremont Ave. Detectives are looking into a stabbing. A 16 year old Hispanic male was stabbed twice in the back. The teen victim apparently found his way to Westchester Square Hospital seeking medical help for the two wounds. Police were alerted and the inquiry got underway.

TUES, DEC. 29th, 12:10 p.m. – 100 Debs Pl. Police officers from the Emergency Service Division were needed to remove an occupant from a Co-op City apartment. The occupant, with a history of a mental illness, was barricaded within the home officials indicated. Once the specially trained officers were able to get inside the residence, the person was taken into custody without any additional problem before they were transported to Jacobi Medical Center.

47th PCT.

WED, DEC. 30th, 2:20 p.m. – 802 East 216 St. Police investigators are looking for the person who stabbed a 20 year old black female. The young injured woman was transported to North Central Bronx Hospital suffering from a stab wound to her left leg.

THURS, DEC. 31st, 11:50 a.m. – 3674 Willet Ave. Authorities are searching for four black males. The group robbed keys for the victim’s home. The group was able to enter the residence fleeing with an unknown amount of electronic equipment.

THURS, DEC. 31st, 6:30 p.m. – A search was conducted by police officers after a livery cab driver was robbed. Taken by an unknown black male at gun point was a cell phone, a GPS unit, in addition to one hundred dollars in cash.

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 8:50 p.m. – 638 Nereid Ave. Authorities are looking into a commercial robbery that occurred in the Wakefield area. Two black males at gunpoint robbed a neighborhood store. The pair fled with three hundred dollars and a cell phone. Local detectives will handle the follow-up inquiry.

MON, JAN. 4th, 10:45 a.m. – 3444 White Plains Rd. Authorities are looking into the death of a 22 year old black male. The young man apparently jumped to his death from the 14th floor of the building.

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 5:20 a.m. – Wallace and Burke Aves. The victim of a shooting found his way to Montifiore Hospital to seek medical assistance. The man had been shot once in the left knee. Police investigators were summon to the hospital to obtain information about the incident.

48th PCT.

WED, DEC. 30th, 11:55 p.m. – 997 East 180 St. An unidentified male was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital. The hospital’s medical staff determined that the victim was suffering from a bullet wound to the leg area. Local sleuths will handle the inquiry.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 4:10 a.m. – A 17 year old male teenager was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital after being shot. The teen was suffering from a bullet wound to the right leg. The inquiry is in the hands of local detectives.

SAT, JAN. 2nd, 3:20 a.m. – 2308 Crotona Ave. A 19 year old Jose Soto ended up being arrested after he was found with a gun. The teen was in possession of a 380-caliber revolver when arrested.

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 1:00 a.m. – A 21 year old male was arrested by patrol officers and charged with sexually attacking a 15 year old girl.

49th PCT.

WED, DEC. 30th, 4:50 p.m. – 2901 Matthews Ave. Authorities are looking for two Hispanic males in connection with an armed robbery. The unknown pair were armed and proceeded to strike the victim in the head with a gun. After taking some nine hundred dollars from the man, the culprits fired two shots at the victim when he attempted to follow the pair.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 2:00 a.m. – 2081 Wallace Ave. A teenage Hispanic girl was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center after being attacked. The 18 year old victim was suffering from a stab wound to the back according to medical officials.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 3:30 a.m. – 2440 Olinville Ave. The medical staff at Jacobi Medical Center went to work on a 20 year old Hispanic male. The young man had been stabbed twice in the back. Now the inquiry is in the hands of local sleuths.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 4:40 a.m. – 2220 Boston Rd. The staff at Jacobi Medical Center assisted a Hispanic male. The 20 year old victim had been stabbed five times in the upper torso area. Local detectives will handle the follow-up inquiry.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 6:00 p.m. – 1822 Hunt Ave. A 53 year old Caucasian male was arrested by patrol officers once they realized that the man was in possession of two pistols. Both guns were vouched for court use at a later day.

SAT, JAN. 2nd, 1:30 p.m. – 2260 Barker Ave. An 85 year old woman became a victim to a home invasion. Authorities are looking for a black woman in her forties, who pushed her way into the elderly woman’s home. The female culprit fled with the victim’s money officials report. The older woman escaped injury.

SAT, JAN. 2nd, 8:00 p.m. – Police are looking for a male who is reported to be about 20 years old. The man is wanted in connection with the rape of a 14 year old girl. Investigators from the Special Victim’s Squad are assisting with the inquiry.

MON, JAN. 4th, 4:05 p.m. – 1657 Garfield St. Authorities are looking into the discharge of a gun. Responding officers verified that no one was injured, but were able to find sufficient evidence to indicate that at lease four shots had been fired.

MON, JAN. 4th, 4:10 p.m. – 1393 East Gun Hill Rd. Investigators are looking into the robbery of a clothing store. An unidentified black male entered the store and at gun point he told the employee to give him the money. The culprit fled with $160 in cash.

50th PCT.

SAT, JAN. 2nd, 2:30 p.m. – 3616 Hudson Manor Terr. The death of a 45 year old man is under review by authorities. The victim’s body was discovered lying face down on a bedroom floor. The Medical Examiner’s office will conduct the autopsy which will indicate how the victim died.

52nd PCT.

WED, DEC. 30th, 3:55 p.m. – 3055 Decatur Ave. Police vouched another handgun that was taken off the streets of the Bronx. This time with an arrest, police recovered a 380-caliber semi-automatic gun.

THURS, DEC. 31st, 12:15 a.m. – Grand Ave. and North St. An arrest was made of a person who failed to have a license to carry a handgun on the street. Taken and vouched by patrol officers from the suspect was a 22-caliber revolver.

SAT, JAN. 2nd, 7:40 p.m. – 3037 Webster Ave. A Hispanic male was arrested when authorities found him in possession of a gun. The man, who is reported to be in his early thirties, was arrested as police officers recovered a 38-caliber revolver which was in his possession.

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 6:15 a.m. – 2678 Briggs Ave. A suspect was arrested as police officers continued to remove unregistered weapons off of Bronx streets. This time a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol was vouched by authorities.

Housing

WED, DEC. 30th, 11:20 p.m. – A male suspect was arrested in connect with an assault upon a woman. The female victim was stabbed in the right leg according to police officers assigned to Housing Police from PSA # 8. The woman was provided with medical care at Jacobi Medical Center.

FRI, JAN. 1st, 5:30 a.m. – 1162 Washington Ave. Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 were dispatched to the scene where two males had been stabbed. Both males were transported to Lincoln Medical Center. Police are looking for a suspect who fled the scene.

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 3:00 p.m. – 2280 Randall Ave. A 17 year old male teen was arrested by police officers from Housing’s PSA # 8. The black teen was found to be in possession of a 380-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

Fire Log

SUN, JAN. 3rd, 4:17 p.m. – 105 East Clark Pl. Red Cross workers relocated members of a family whose home was damaged by a fire. Ambulance crews treated five of the building residents who suffered from smoke inhalation as firefighters battled the blaze inside the apartment house.
