ITEM: If you’re reading this in time the great vocalist Lou Valentino and his stylish selection of dinner music at LaStrada Italian Restaurant on Sunday, January 17, 4 to 7 p.m. LaStrada has been growing in popularity. The food is excellent.

ITEM: Underground Music Studios is a new rehearsal space for bands. The studio is open in partnership with the long standing Bronx concert promoters The Bronx Underground. www.undergroundmusicstudios.net Launch party on Janurary 16.
ITEM: Schuylerville Music on East Tremont may be gone but the music teachers from the store were fortunate enough to find a great new building right across the street to set up music lessons. Most of the music teachers are in the cover band called Just Nuts. Hence the new name of the spot: “Just Nuts About Music”! 3602 E. Tremont 2nd Floor.
