Bronx House School for Performing Arts

Bronx House School for Performing Arts invites members, friends and community residents to its annual faculty recital on Sunday, March 14, at 2 p.m. in the Bronx House auditorium. The recital includes members of the music and dance teaching staff who will perform a variety of classical and contemporary work.Admission to the program is free with a suggested $5 contribution to benefit the Heilbrunn Music School Scholarship Fund.

The School for Performing Arts faculty is comprised of professionals who are active musicians and hold advanced degrees from schools including Juilliard, Mannes, the Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University and NYU. They also include émigré instrumentalists who once played in orchestras in Russia and Albania.

Bronx House School for Performing Arts offers year round music and dance classes for all ages, including ongoing registration for private instruction in piano, guitar, voice, violin, drums, and other instruments. Registration is also open for the spring session of group classes which begin the week of April 5th. The school offers scholarships to students who qualify for financial assistance as well as instruments available for loan, free of charge.

Bronx House School for Performing Arts programs are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council on the Arts, and UJA Federation. The school is a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.
