Jewelry thief wanted

Police are in search two men who stole $300,000 in diamonds and valuables from a Morris Park jewelry store on Tuesday, December 22 at 12:14 p.m.

The crook and a partner entered Premier Jewelers at 1042 Morris Park Avenue in midday. One had a hardhat and hospital mask, the other a black handgun. They used zip ties to restrain the store’s owner in his basement and plundered a display of diamond engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings and necklaces, then fled.

The storeowner guessed that the men were Hispanic or Eastern European but had no accents.
