Edgewater Girl Missing, Contact 45th Precinct

A concerned Edgewater family is asking for any information regarding their missing daughter.

Angela Mayleas, 16-year-old student of the Women’s Academy of Excellence, reported missing by her family, was last seen on Saturday, March 19 at around 9:30 p.m.

She is approximately 5’1”, about 105 pounds, and was wearing a black bubble jacket, a long gray hooded-sweater, white shirt, blue jeans and gray slip-on fur-lined shoes.

Her father, Nick, said he was told by Angela’s friends that she was going to Brooklyn with a boy by the name of James and although she does have a cell phone, he believes the battery is dead by now.

According to the family, Angela has pediatric glaucoma and needs two types of prescription eye drops that she does not have with her. If she goes for an extended period without using the drops, she can lose her vision.

If anyone has any information on Angela’s whereabouts, contact Detective Conner at the 45th Precinct at (718) 822-5414, or contact Nick Mayleas at (347) 851-5606.
