Parks Department Presents Summer Movies Films

The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation will be presenting a series of free summer films in parks around the borough. All movies will begin at 8 p.m. At the top of the hill in St. Mary’s Park, there will be a presentation of How to Train Your Dragon on Thursday, September 1. The Parks Department will present Beetlejuice on Saturday, July 9 and The Incredibles on Saturday, August 6 at St. James Park at East 192nd Street and Jerome Avenue. There will be a showing of Madagascar on Wednesday, July 20 at Joyce Kilmer Park, located at East 162 Street and Grand Concourse. Manida Ball Field at 765 Manida Street will be the location of a showing of E. T. on Wednesday, July 27. Monsters Inc. will be playing at Barretto Point Park at Barretto Street and Randall Avenue on Wednesday, August 3. The Incredibles will be shown at Soundview Park at Seward Avenue and Metcalf Avenue on Wednesday, August 17. The Incredibles will also be shown at Mill Pond Park, located at East 150th Street and Gateway Center Drive, on Wednesday, August 24.
