P.S. 71 looted of 4 computers

Burglars walked in the front door of a Pelham Bay public school recently, making off with four computers from classrooms, police said.

They walked into P.S. 71 at 3040 Roberts Avenue sometime after school closed on Friday, April 28, with the break-in discovered the next day.

“It appears that someone entered the school through the front door and the alarm was deactivated at that time,” said Capt. Russell Green of the 45th Precinct. “They then removed computers from four classrooms.”

He said no force was used during the burglary and “it appears that keys were used to open the classroom doors.”
